There is Strength and Joy in " Community"!

In last months issue of the Hickory Nut Gorge Newsletter, we listed 20/20's recent piece on " The Happiest Places in the World". In this book, Eric Weiner, author of "The Geography of Bliss," states that the Asheville general area where we live is one of the happiest places in the US! One of his major conclusions is that our area is happy ( and Washington DC is not) because of the close sense of community.
- Let's continue this sense of community by joining one of our groups, helping our neighbor, and simply sharing our mutual journey.
- If you have a thought or an event be sure to send it to us.
- If you have an article that you wrote about our area or a poem in you, be sure to let us know and we will feature it in our Articles on Our Area Page. that we will be developing for next month.
- If you have positive news that we all would like to know about do let us know.
Our Newsletter is a true COMMUNITY EFFORT

Advertise with us
When we started this Community Newsletter and Web Site several years ago, there was no local news for our beautiful area on a regular basis and no comprehensive web site to promote our great services and businesses.
Now, we are the No 1 site on google for most key words with a massive data base of those who desire to receive the news monthly!
A Web Site is ineffective if no one sees it! A Newspaper is discarded in a day. Radio is forgotten in a flash!
Through the use of numerous marketing techniques we work to make sure YOUR BUSINESS is seen by all in our community.
Just a few of these marketing ideas that we use are as follows:
Distribution of our Newsletter to what we believe is the LARGEST data base of local potential customers each and every month!
A mailing list comprised only of those who want to receive it.
A simple opt out feature is in place where those who do not want to receive can click below and be forever removed.
Our Newsletter and Web Site is useful to all and not mere advertising!
Our site contains Daily News through RSS feeds, Daily Weather, and a local Discussion Group and people check it daily for all their daily news!
Mouse over features with second picture from your web site.
Animated graphics to maintain interest.
Images directly link to your site
Highest ranking on many Key Words on the No 1 Search Engine-Google!
