The Soul of Yoga
What is the soul of yoga? Follow your heart into the center of the pose and find in the midst of detail and precision, in breath, alignment, balance, bliss, fear and sadness - at the very core of all of this is love. Touch upon your truest nature even once and the experience of what you really are sears the psyche like the surface of the sun. The soul of yoga, the gift within the pose is the moment of communion, resting in pure essence, the awakening as if from sleep to the face of unmistakable divinity; the ineffable wonder and living reality of spirit - oh, yes - the soul of yoga is love.

About the presenter
I think everyone can benefit from yoga. While not all yoga is right for everybody, there is a yoga practice for everybody. As a person who has MS and a yoga practitioner for most of my life, I know that I would not be as healthy as I am without the benefit of yoga.
I developed this workshop to educate yoga teachers about MS - what it is, how it affects people, what to look out for and how to work with students who can have very different symptoms from time to time and different from other people who have MS. Some students who have MS don't need a modified class. Some do. Some must not get onto the floor because they may not be able to get back up or risk injury, etc.
This workshop and parts of it have been presented at Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association annual conference, Yogaville, Divine Yoga Center and Breathe Yoga Studio. This workshop has also be sponsored by local chapters of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society from Connecticut to New York to Texas to Georgia and more.
Please contact me if you have any questions about these or future workshop opportunities.
