Glenn Comtois - Opening July 11

Come meet Glen Comtois - Dallas artist on the move.   He was selected for the Dallas Art Slam at F.I.G recently.  He has been accepted for the New Texas Talent exhibition at the Craighead Green Gallery.  Both events had stiff competition.  Neiman Marcus has several of his works in their permanent collection and has sold numerous pieces to collectors.

Photos and web pages do not do justice to Glenn's work.  As an architeect he is fascinated by the connection between materials and the sense of movement created by their composition.  His purpose is to break the flat plane of a painting and is based in the principles of constructivism.  He uses finishes, elevation, relief and textures to create a sense of movement and activity.  Finished work is influenced by viewers, objects, location, light changes and their interaction creating life. His architectural experience is evident in his use of structural elements, function, color, proportion, scale and form.

Palmer Arts Village, Inc.

Palmer Arts Village, Inc. is a non-profit organization formed to provide financial support for arts in the "village" surrounding the Palmer House at Sanford & Mesquite.

We are working with local schools to identify talented young artists who would benefit from a summer of art classes.  Classes start Wednesday, June 10.

For $250 you can sponsor a child for a full summer of art including classes, supplies and studio time outside of class.  Even if you can't donate $250, please give what you can.  Every dollar will make a big difference to these children who could not otherwise afford this tremendous art experience.

Palmer Arts Village does not have its own website to minimize expenses and maximize benefits to beneficiaries.  Eclectic Expressions provides clerical support and office space for Palmer Arts Village.  The "Donate" button on Eclectic Expressions' home page will allow you to contribute any amount you choose using the security provided by PayPal.
