Hello students, parents and friends,
Message from Principal, Gavin Wilkinson: 'I hope that you are all enjoying a well deserved Summer break after this year's excellent end of year extravaganza and two Summer Schools! The speed at which the kids picked up the material was truly amazing and I was quite simply taken aback by the fantastic performances and the standard of the developing vocal work from the Principal cast members and ensemble. Well done to all involved. I look forward to seeing you all on the weekend of the 12th / 13th September for an exciting Autumn term!' Check out the fab review of Grease at: http://michaelgray.blogspot.com/ Student congratulations We would like to pass on our congratulations to Isabelle Kelly for landing the recent Summer TV Commercial campaign for Littlewoods and George Horscraft for his role in the new worldwide campaign for Monopoly. Great work guys, we are very proud of you! Money raised for Farleigh's Following the collection at our recent Civic Theatre extravaganza 'Don't Tell Mama!' we are delighted to inform you that we have raised £392.82 for this excellent charity. We will be supporting Farleigh's again when the Seniors perform a medley of songs and dances in Chelmsford town centre on Saturday 14th November (please see below). Autumn term dates First day of term : Saturday 12th / Sunday 13th September Half term : Saturday 24th / Sunday 25th October Last day of term : Saturday 21st / Sunday 22nd November. Senior students are required on Saturday 14th November for a town centre Christmas display. Please note that this date has changed from the last newsletter. It will take place outside the old Woolworths from 10am to 12 midday and we would love to see any Juniors in the crowd, supporting our Senior students. Bollywood Group We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new Saturday morning Junior session from 10am to 1pm. Student place confirmation Please can ALL parents (both new and existing) confirm their child’s place for next term by Monday 31st August, either via email or phone to the Tomorrow’s Talent office. The number of students wishing to attend classes has grown considerably and we need to plan as early as possible to ensure that the smooth running of the school continues as it has in the past. Please state your child’s preferred group when confirming. Wherever possible we will endeavour to accommodate students in their chosen group but when groups reach capacity places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Registration day / Fees: We are delighted to announce that for the third year running there will be no increase in fees and the cost for each term for 2009/2010 will remain at £130. Please ensure that all fees are paid on the first day of term as students will not be permitted to enter class until fees have been paid. Payment plans are only available if previously arranged with the Tomorrow’s Talent office. We regret that we will no longer be offering a weekly payment option but discounts will still be given for sibling students and referrals. Please contact the office for further details and for any queries regarding fees. Tots trial Some of you have enquired about a class for very young kids so we are now very happy to tell you that we will be trialling a Tomorrow's Talent Tots class for 3 to 5 year olds. It will consist of a fun dance / musical theatre class run by Principal Gavin Wilkinson and teacher Tracey Payne. The initial class will be held on Saturday 3rd October and will then take place on the following dates: Sunday 11th, Saturday 17th and our final session on Saturday 31st October. Classes will last for 45 minutes and will run from 9:00am to 9.45am, with a view to starting regular Tots sessions in January 2010. Parents are welcome to stay at the hall while the class takes place, perhaps have a tea or coffee and relax in our separate room. Please let us know if you are interested in your child attending a Trial Tot session as we only have a limited number of places. February Half term 'A Chorus Line' Following the success of this year's half term production of Mamma Mia! we will be staging the amazing musical 'A Chorus Line'. This will take place week commencing 15th February 2010. Website updates We are about to update our website and would love to hear from you if you have any ideas or suggestions. If any parents have the final photographs of Fame or Grease it would be wonderful to include some of the shots on the website Many thanks, |
