Farmers Bank recently celebrated the opening of their 5th branch with a ribbon cutting ceremony and preview reception. The new branch is located at 6255 College Drive, Suite L, in the Harbour View East shopping center.
This new branch will offer customers a full line of financial services including personal banking, business banking, loan and credit card services. They will also feature the latest in banking technologies including a no envelope deposit ATM, as well as all the other great community banking features Farmers Bank is known for.

FLEXA Furniture Opens First Children’s Furniture Outlet Store in Suffolk

FLEXA Furniture, an environmentally conscious children’s furniture maker, opened their first outlet store at 1201 N. Main Street, in the Suffolk Specialty Shops. The store will offer discounted prices on their furniture in a retail setting near their U.S. Headquarters in Suffolk, Virginia.
Based in Denmark, FLEXA Furniture has been an innovator and manufacturer of modular children’s bedroom solutions since 1972. They offer solid wood, modular beds and accessories for toddlers to teens that are colorful, functional and flexible. FLEXA recently entered the U.S. retail market with the opening of stores in Las Vegas, Honolulu, Miami, Boston and now Suffolk.

This “One Stop” location houses 11 separate State, Regional and Local workforce Development agencies all committed to matching job seekers with employers, as well as providing training to respond to the needs of employers in our community.
By working together in one location the Suffolk Workforce Development Center can pull together a vast amount of resources and grant opportunities to find the right people as well as provide general and/or customized training solutions.
