CORRECTION AND APOLOGY

Well, it's good to learn we have (alot of) readers who know their Canadian geography a damn site better than I do. In my defense, I'm in Florida. I don't get much of an opportunity to cross-polinate with Canada down here.

Still I should have known better, when last week I got in a hurry and made the assumption that Calgary was located in the Canadian providence of Ontario.

In a terrific story about the Calgary Bluesfest receiving an official proclamation the mayor of Calgary, I identified the incorrect providence.
So for the record... Calgary (as everybody but me knew) is located in ALBERTA.

As I have also learned from our readers...it seems Ontario and Alberta are 1,000 miles and a world apart. I heard from residents of Alberta who were offended by my mistake, and from residents of Ontario who were equally offended.

I know less about Canadian politics than I do geography.
It's all just Blues to me.

But to all I offended, I apologize and promise to be a better fact checker in the future.

Your humble editor...Nancy

(and if I screw up again...please let me know, okay?)
