FORCE - FRIENDS OF THE RIVERS COALITION eNEWSLETTER February 2009 PO Box 2627 Stuart, Fl 34995 772-225-6849 www.RiversCoalition.org

TO RIVERS COALITION MEMBERS AND PUBLIC - PLEASE ATTEND IMPORTANT MEETING MARCH 26

The future of our St. Lucie River depends on our tenacity (or just plain stubbornness).

At Thursday's meeting we'll feature new plans to re-double efforts to prevent the discharges that ruin us in wet years.

Be there at 11 a.m. Thursday March 26 at Stuart City Hall. There's plenty of free parking and coffee and donuts to keep you perking. Your participation and support is essential.

We hope you will be among the concerned and outraged, citizens who know all to well what we go through when the huge discharges hammer the St. Lucie. We must not let up.

NEW INFORMATION CAMPAIGN READY FOR ACTION IN TUMULTUOUS '09

A special theme painting and information plan will be unveiled at Thursday's meeting in order to spotlight the great value of the estuary.

On t-shirts, posters and countless other uses, the "Save My River" graphics will convey our personal and collective demand that the unique estuarine life be saved from the unnatural discharges from inland.

The community must wage this war for as long as it takes to win. Losing no longer is an option.

We'll be looking for you Thursday.
