Warm greetings from the Maricopa Cabana.
The spring wildflowers are in bloom and we're enjoying a spectacular season of live jazz here in the Valley of the Sun.
Following up recent performances at the Chandler Jazz Festival and Paradise Valley Jazz Party, we're delighted to announce two more stellar shows this month: an all-star celebration of Miles Davis on May 27th, and a guest spot with the Armand Boatman Trio on May 28th.
Next month we hit the road for summer tour appearances at the Siskiyou Institute of Oregon, the Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival in southern California and the Telluride Jazz Celebration in Colorado.

BRASS MASTERS SERIES

IN CONCERT
On Thursday, May 27th, Fred Forney, Dmitri Matheny and Denny Monce will reprise their popular Brass Masters Series, this time Celebrating Miles Davis at Sacred Grounds Jazz Coffeehouse in Scottsdale.
The following evening, Friday, May 28th, Matheny is honored to appear at Jazz in the Hills (Fountain Hills, Arizona) with the spectacular Armand Boatman Trio.

CD RELEASE CELEBRATION
On Friday, June 25th, the Siskiyou Institute (Ashland, Oregon) celebrates the release of GRANT & MATHENY, the new compact disc by Darrell Grant and Dmitri Matheny.
Since their 1996 debut at New York's Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the piano and flugelhorn duo has solidiļ¬ed their reputation as "pioneers and champions of the chamber jazz movement" [Public Radio International].
Darrell and Dmitri wish to thank Rick and Joanne Soued, and the Siskiyou Institute,
for generously making this recording possible.
