Report from INATS (International New Age Trade Show)
Video by Kate on Facebook
The International New Age Trade Show in Denver, the last weekend of June was a rich opportunity to connect with other musicians, friends and new contacts.

As I've been putting a team together to produce my musical A Dream of Camelot, there were several meetings with potential team members who are aligned with the healing qualities of this musical.

My friend Kate accompanied me, helped at the booth, and along with Donna Michael took photos and video - more at a later date.

Musical connections included Donna Michael, Ken Davis, Joseph Akins, Ann Licater, Scott August, Paradiso, Jonathan Goldman, Jeffrey Fisher, Dean and Dudley Evenson and a new musical sympatico, Arvel Bird.  Here's a photo of Arvel, Dean and myself playing together.

Internationally recognized masters of meditative music, Marina Raye and Richard Shulman will join their talents for an evening of brilliant improvisation and selections from their respective recordings. The concert, entitled "An Enchanted Evening with Marina Raye and Richard Shulman," will be at 8:00 PM, Saturday, July 24th at White Horse Black Mountain, 105C Montreat Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711 (828) 669-0816. Admission is $12. Also, there will be a Special Guest appearance by Kim Hughes. The music to be played by Marina and Richard will be deeply relaxing and the White Horse Black Mountain plans to have chair massage therapists available for audience members to relax even further. Marina Raye, an internationally recognized native flute player, was born in the Congo where she spent her first ten years. She draws inspiration from her deep love for the Earth as she shares her vision of a peaceful planet. The uniqueness of Marina Raye’s original flute compositions has earned her the description, “The Feminine Voice of the Native Flute.” She has been a best-selling musician since 2005, when her album, Nature’s Enchantment, was voted one of the top ten CDs in the alternative music market. Often called a “sonic shaman”, her mastery of the native flute has made her a favorite among massage therapists, alternative healing centers and meditators alike. Composer, keyboardist, and recording artist Richard Shulman has been creating music for meditation and Divine connection since 1984. Shulman uses his skills as a jazz, classical, and healing-music keyboardist to create music to assist groups and individuals in embodying their own spiritual essence. Shulman has recorded 23 albums, first as a jazz musician in New York, then becoming known in the worlds of new age music and music for healing and meditation. He has performed at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the United Nations, and a wide variety of venues throughout North America and in Europe.  He is currently building a team to produce a new musical called “A Dream of Camelot.” Richard Shulman: RichHeart Music - 828-658-9604 and www.richheartmusic.com Marina Raye: www.marinaraye.com White Horse Black Mountain: 828-669-0816 and www.whitehorseblackmountain.com Margaret Marchuk, Creative Communication Services: 828-669-5447

Tending my Garden....
RichHeart Music website
I asked for guidance today about a particular situation in my life, asking "What thought would make me happy?"  The answer was to think "I love that person."

Although my personality wanted to know what the results might be, the thought itself made me feel better.  That was enough!

Love and Blessings,
Richard
