Please join us for A STARRY NIGHT AUTUMNAL EQUINOX CONCERT  with Richard Shulman and Kim Hughes, Sunday, September 19. Potluck at 6:00 pm and concert from 7:30 to 9:00 pm at The Crest Pavilion and the Amphitheater at Crest Mountain, Asheville, NC. Admission $12 • RSVP at 828-686-1890 by Sept. 17 (more info below in Tour Dates).
The concert will include meditation music and jazz by Richard, some songs from the "A Dream of Camelot" musical and an Autumnal Equinox Meditation with Richard and Kim. 
 
“Faerie” Elaine Silver and Richard Shulman will join their talents for an evening of heartfelt healing songs and improvisations along with selections from their respective recordings. The concert, entitled Spirit Music with “Faerie” Elaine Silver and Richard Shulman, will be from 7:00 to 9:30 PM, Saturday, Oct. 9th at the United Research Light Center, Rte. 9, Black Mountain, NC.  They will also be honoring the 70th birthday of John Lennon during and after the concert. Admission $25, Purchase tickets by October 1st and receive a FREE Elaine Silver CD. (UR Light Center: 828-669-6845)

Kimberly Hughes, M.S.Ed, has worked with the interactions between sound, silence, human emotion, and Spirit most of her life.  She is a professional singer, having sung many "leading lady" roles in operas such as Madame Butterfly, Tosca, Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, La Boheme, Il Trovatore, Cavalleria Rusticana, and others.  While living in New York City singing opera, she also had the opportunity to sing music of many faith traditions, including Native American, Hindu, Christian, Jewish, and Buddhist. Kim has been a psychotherapist/healer/life coach for 30 years, and in particular studied sound healing (with sound shaman Tom Kenyon and Hindu yogi Sri Bhatnagar).  She is passionate about using music for conscious expansion, meditation, healing of brain function, group bonding, celebration, and a release to ecstasy.
 
Kim lives in Black Mountain NC, and together with her husband Bob Hinkle, owns White Horse Black Mountain, an eclectic spiritual music venue.

A STARRY NIGHT AUTUMNAL EQUINOX CONCERT With Richard Shulman and Kim Hughes at The Crest Pavilion and the Amphitheater at Crest Mountain. Enjoy Richard and Kim's versatile sounds at this starry setting on a hillside overlooking the lights of the city of Asheville. Schedule: • Tours of the Villages at Crest Mountain - 3:00-5:00 pm (Go to Sales Office or call 828-252-7787). • Potluck and Social Gathering at the Crest Pavilion 6:00- 7:15 p.m. (Bring a dish to share) • Concert Under the Stars at the Amphitheater 7:30 – 9:00 pm. (Bring a chair or blanket. In case of rain, the concert will be held in the Crest Pavilion) • Cost: $12 each • RSVP 828-686-1890 by Sept. 17. • Directions from downtown Asheville: (or do Map Quest for 30 Ben Lippen School Road) Take I 240 across the Patton Avenue Bridge heading west. Stay in the left two lanes to merge onto Patton Avenue and head towards West Asheville. At the 4th light after the bridge, make a right turn (north) onto Louisiana Avenue. On Louisiana look for the first stoplight, turn left onto Hazel Mill Road and follow it until it ends at a stop sign. At stop sign, turn left onto Emma/Dryman Mountain Road and go about 3/4 mile. You will pass the entrance to The Villages on the right (under construction). Then turn right at the stone Crest Mountain sign/waterfall and climb to the top of the mountain. Look for the Hanger Hall School for Girls on your left and park in the parking area surrounding it. It's a short walk from there to the glassed Crest Pavilion.  The Amphitheater is located across the road from the Pavilion. If you are coming just for the concert, please park at Hanger Hall School for Girls and look for the sign to the Amphitheater. Richard and Kim are planning an exciting evening of music under the stars. In addition, they will lead the audience in an “Autumnal Equinox Meditation” to help us celebrate the changing of the seasons. You may have heard Kim's magnificent voice at some of the classical events and at Richard's concert with Marina Raye at White Horse Black Mountain.
