AICFF, now in its second year, has begun! Off and running, from November 1-14, 2010, it's going to be even better than last year. I wish those of you who live far away from Western North Carolina could come and enjoy it, too ~ it's going to be GREAT!
AICFF provides culturally diverse, value-affirming films for children and adults, age 3 and up. This festival celebrates the best and brightest in international children’s cinema, with over 100 films from more than 30 countries, plus many special events. Public screenings and events are this coming weekend and next.
Check out this funny two-minute AICFF promo, with Founder & Artistic Director Tim Arem, Jon Menick and David Miller of Story Point Media ~ and me!

And please check the Schedule for all the events, including the Friday, November 5 Gala that benefits Little Pearls and AICFF. The gala will be at the Manor Inn, with great entertainment, films, silent auction, food, beer and wine. Time: 6-9 p.m. Cost: $25 single, $40 per couple.
The gala is the only venue for Little Pearls, the non-profit umbrella organization for the festival, to FUNdraise, through ticket sales and a very cool silent auction. Please come!
There is so much more in this festival for children and adults to enjoy, including the Costume Pancake Breakfast November 6, Movie Magic Workshops November 13 and a special screening event for Magic in the Forest on November 14.
Information about individual film blocks and appropriate ages is on the AICFF website, plus lots more, including this sweet AICFF Trailer by Bonesteel Films.
See you at the movies! |
