Old English Sheepdog Rescue Network of the Southeast ..... Dec. 7, 2010

Hey Everyone..
We are so excited about a unique Christmas Auction we have going on RIGHT NOW.   Allison Sohn, who is the OES owner of Tonks and Luna offered to get in touch with her artworld friends and ask for donations for a Christmas Auction to support OES Rescue Network of the Southeast.
Last night, 7 items were listed on our auction site.  Various artists have donated their artwork to support OES rescue.  More items may be uploaded in a few days so check back often.
We have a very cool scarf, winter hat, artwork, sheepie face pin, a molded sculpture and a few other items.  Please check them out.
This auction has begun already and ends at various times after 7pm on Monday Dec. 13th, but check the actual timeframes for end of auction on each item.

Adoption SUCCESS- DALLAS in Georgia

Dallas was an owner turn in.  He was the product of divorce and his father kept him as long as he could.  With long hours at work, he ended up spending most of his time barking and wanting attention outside in the yard with his two dog buddies.
Finally the owner contacted us, because he knew he could not keep up the dog's coat or needs.  Luckily we had a volunteer very close by.   Joan went to pick this guy up (after several attempts).   He was a barker at first, but calmed down a bit after he knew he was gonna start getting attention.   And this boy became besties with Joan's hubby Craig, who was finding it harder and harder to not fall in love with him.
So would you believe another foster failed fostering and ended up adopting this cutie!  He is so being spoiled and he joined the family with another OES girl (previously rescued through our group) and a cocker spaniel.  So he has playmates again, gets to live inside and has people who will love and pet him.
All is good in the world again for this boy!

Sheepie Day in the Park- Fall 2010 Edition

Fun was had by all.  We put several videos up on our Facebook page, so check it out (you might need to scroll back a bit in the news feed to see them listed).
We had approx. 20 dogs at the height of the day and about 25 ppl.   If anyone is not getting the sheepie invites in time and want to be added to my lists, please email Fiona at   FionaRB@aol.com and let me know.  I had many problems this time with EVITES not reaching subscribers and friends.  I couldn't quite pinpoint if they weren't receiving them or if they were being refused as spam.
Join us in April or May when we meet again for our Spring get together.

Happy Holidays from Old English Sheepdog Rescue Network of the Southeast

Best wishes from the OESRNSE Board to all our volunteers, friends and new adoptive parents.   Without all of you, your love and support for Old English Sheepdogs, we would not be able to make better lives for Sheepies in need.
(dogs  L to R:  Luna, Tonks, Sunshine and Mabel)
