Hear The Sounds

Hear the sounds,
the steady movement of the shuttle
sliding across the threads,
the swoosh of another color added to the weaving.
This time blue, the blue of midnight skies,
the dark inky blue of the depths of the ocean.
Its presence in the design changes the dynamic of the weave.
I look upon what is emerging, amazed at what is being told –
the language confounded and reformed in that moment.
Again the slide of the shuttle,
bringing the shades and nuance to the whole,
defining, sometimes sharpening, and other times
softening what is being laid down.
The loom, like the closing of massive wooden gates,
seals and aligns what has been woven,
the foundation of what has been, is, and will be.
I am the weaver and the loom.
At breath’s pause the gold thread accompanies the next color
across life’s landscape, enriching and illuminating
the tapestry in its full glory.
I am the runner that I weave,
laid across the table for the feast,
to serve and amplify the manna that is given.
I hear the ancient looms
and know we all work the same threads,
different patterns, illumined by the gold.
When it slides across the loom it makes a different sound –
listen for it.

Recognizing our Enemies

The 23rd Psalm is one of those beloved Psalms we have heard and read hundreds of times, if not more. We can recite it by heart, we've heard it so many times. But no matter how familiar this Psalm may be, there is still something new to learn from it.
Such was the case with me when these lines suddenly took on a new and though-provoking meaning: “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies” . . .Psalm 23:5 AMP. I had associated the word “enemies” as those in human form, not really aware of other possible meanings. But the definition of the word suggests otherwise. “One that is antagonistic to another; especially: one seeking to injure, overthrow of confound an opponent.” Synonyms: adversary, antagonist, foe, hostile, opponent. Also, an enemy to truth.”
When we begin to examine our thoughts, it can be very revealing. What exactly are we energizing? Do we make a conscious effort to monitor the content of our thinking, or is it random, idle chatter we don't pay much attention to? Every-time we have an anxious or fearful thought over a condition that is challenging us, isn't that really an enemy in disguise? What about an inner voice telling us we can't possibly accomplish a goal, such a losing weight, letting go of a long-standing negative habit, or other similar examples? More enemies rearing their ugly heads.
Inherent in this Psalm is the promise that God will provide for us even in the face of adversity. “You will prepare a table before me.”. . . God will prepare us for overcoming. He will bring it to pass. Our faith in Him is justified, as He has proven over and over again His faithfulness to us. The enemy cannot gain a foothold in our thinking when we boldly declare “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.” 2nd Ti 1:7 AMP.
If we want to take this concept further, the table God prepares for us also represents abundance. When our thinking is directed to what we have, rather than what we feel we lack, we attract more and more blessings into our life. Our gratitude increases; our appreciation of how God is moving and working in our lives grows as we acknowledge His presence in everyone and everything. The adversary grows weaker and weaker, and we grow stronger and stronger. We stand in faith and claim our good now.
Long-standing thought patterns of negativity take determination and perseverance to break free from, but it can be done. With God in us and for us, nothing is impossible. We are equipped to be victorious, for God has instilled His spirit within us, and His light to guide us. The choice is ours whether or not we sit down and enjoy what He has prepared for us at the table of life.
Love and blessings to all.

Angel Knocking at the Door

There came a frantic knock At the doctor's office door,
A knock, more urgent than he had ever heard before.
"Come in, Come in," the impatient doctor said,
"Come in, Come in, before you wake the dead."
In walked a frightened little girl, a child no more than nine,
It was plain for all to see she had troubles on her mind.
"Oh doctor, I beg you, please come with me,
My mother is surely dying, she's as sick as she can be."
"I don't make house calls, bring your mother here,"
"But she's too sick, so you must come or she will die I fear."
The doctor, touched by her devotion decided he would go,
She said he would be blessed, more than he could know.
She led him to her house where her mother lay in bed,
Her mother was so very sick she couldn't raise her head.
But her eyes cried out for help and help her the doctor did,
She would have died that very night had it not been for her kid.
The doctor got her fever down and she lived through the night,
And morning brought the doctor signs that she would be all right.
The doctor said he had to leave but would return again by two,
And later he came back to check, just like he said he'd do.
The mother praised the doctor for all the things he'd done,
He told her she would have died, were it not for her little one.
"How proud you must be of your wonderful little girl,
It was her pleading that made me come, she is really quite a pearl!
"But doctor, my daughter died over three years ago,
Is the picture on the wall of the little girl you know?"
The doctors legs went limp for the picture on the wall,
Was the same little girl for whom he'd made this call.
The doctor stood motionless for quite a little while,
And then his solemn face was broken by his smile.
He was thinking of that frantic knock heard at his office door,
And of the beautiful little angel that had walked across his floor.

Voices #2

One day, as I was sitting in my office after class, a lady I had never met was walking past the office door when she abruptly stopped. The stranger peered into my office, seeming a bit confused, and uttered a greeting. We exchanged a few words. She then entered and sat down. We began to talk and to get to know each other.
She was a middle aged Baptist Sunday School teacher from nearby Clarksdale. She was traditional and very conservative in her beliefs, not given to any of the “weird” stuff that some strange people believe. Nothing but sin, salvation, the blood of the lamb, and so on. Eventually, as often happened with other mysterious visitors, our conversation turned to matters religious or paranormal. She had recently had an experience that had differed drastically from her simplistic and conservative faith. She told me of a prophetic dream she had recently had, I think, or maybe it was some other vaguely paranormal experience. I don’t remember exactly. She had never told even her husband and she wondered aloud as why she was telling me.
After an hour or so, the timing seemed appropriate to give her a certain religious book by Johannes Greber, Communication With The Spirit World Of God. Maybe she actually asked for a book on the subject, I don’t recall. Numerous people had played out this same scenario and had asked for a resource book or I had volunteered one. In any event, I kept a large stock of Greber books on hand for giving away on those occasions and gave away several hundred over the years. So I gave her a copy of the book, she thanked me for it, and left.
That was on our first meeting at the end of the fall semester, between Thanksgiving and Christmas. During the Christmas holidays she read the book. At the beginning of the spring semester in early January, she dropped into my office again. Here is her story.
She said that she had been walking past my office that day in early December on the way to see someone else when she heard a voice in her ear for the first time in her life. It was quite a shock to her to hear a voice. The voice was a male voice in the high baritone range. As she crossed in front of my open office door, it calmly said to her, “This is the man you are supposed to see”. So she stopped, wheeled around, and came into my office. No wonder she had seemed disoriented when we first met that day.
She has never heard any voices before or since, and had no history of paranormal experiences in her entire life. I feel sure the Greber book must have been the right book for her needs.
She further related that when she left my office with the book in her hand, the voice spoke to her again. It said simply, “Now you have the book”.

End Times

Many people are concerned about the approaching of what is referred to as 'end times' or the 'end of days'. On a cosmic scale, 'end of cycle' would be a more appropriate term. Astronomy and Astrology have shown us that we are moving rapidly in a specific path through the universe. This path is divided into 12 bands referred to as the zodiac and we are approaching a division mark. The precession rotation (a slow reversed rotation of the axis) of the Earth takes 25920 years for a complete cycle or 2160 years per equalized Zodiac sign. Early calendars used a 360-day year that began in the time of the Biblical prophet Enoch, who was born in 3545 B.C. The Jewish calendar began marking time with the creation, which appears to have begun in 3761 B.C. The Mayan Long Count calendar began August 11, 3114 B.C. (Gregorian calendar) and ends its cycle at the winter solstice in 2012 A.D. (12-21-12 6:12AM EST). The Mayan calendar is made of a Great Cycle with a period of 5,125 years that ends with a conjunction of the Sun at the Milky Ways center, bringing about the creation of a new World Age.
Enoch, a famous Biblical prophet, was the grandfather of Noah and is the first man who did not appear to experience death, as we know it. His life on Earth lasted 365 years. Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Enoch wrote 366 books describing his life’s journey, about Earthly elements, and telling of the workings of heaven. Noah likely preserved Enoch’s prophecies and teachings as some of the few articles of knowledge that survived the Flood. Enoch told of the changes of stars and seasons. It is written in The Book of Enoch 1:1-3 "The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed." expressing information about the prophetic times that we apparently are living in. The Book of Enoch, in the original Aramaic version, was found in the fragments of Dead Sea scrolls. The Book of Enoch and The Book of the Secrets of Enoch containing his wisdom have been translated into English and other languages.
The universe is derived around the 360-degree circle. Prophetic Biblical passages refer to a 360-day time frame and yet our calendar is based on 365 1/4 days. God brought His people Israel out of Egypt in 1491 B.C. and He instituted a new calendar for His people based on lunar-solar cycles.
Exodus 12:1-2 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
Extraordinary events occurred during this time, which could have included changing orbits of the moon from a 30-day orbit to one of 29.5 days and extending the Earths solar orbit. Another possible time altering event was the Flood of the Earth that occurred in the year 2348 B.C. providing another cosmic disruption on a huge scale. End time theories sometimes include restoring of the orbits.
Isaiah 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
We live on a 25,000-mile oblate globe supporting over 7 billion humans and billions of other creatures. Science has shown the basic structural codes that make many various types of people are extremely similar and points to interconnections of all life. Rapid progress in technology and lifestyles has sped the hands of time to an incredible pace. We are amongst the generation who has designed and built atomic, chemical, and genetic biologically engineered destruction that have become powerful enough to destroy all life on our planet many times over and in many ways. Long distance communications has become very rapid using audio, video, and written forms that can easily be translated into many languages connecting the peoples of the world. It is only in the present generation that people have become capable of fulfilling prophecies from the Book of Revelations.
The Holy Bible begins with Genesis, which speaks of the creation of humans in their present form and ends with prophecies written for many generations later, with the Book of Revelations. The Bible tells us that the time of man is limited and that there will be a new beginning. Many signs indicate that we are in the time of the last generation, which began in 1948 when Israel became a state. On June 7, 1967 Jerusalem was restored to Israel.
Ezekiel 34:12-14 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
Many events were prophesied to happen before this generation was gone...Matthew 24:34-36 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Signs will be given...Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
NASA has shown us that four lunar eclipses (blood moon) will occur on the Biblical holy days of Passover (April 15, 2014 & April 4, 2015) and Sukkoth (October 8, 2014 & September 28, 2015) in the years 2014 and 2015, also two solar eclipses will occur on Nisan 1 (March 20, 2015) (the beginning of the religious festival cycle) and the Feast of Trumpets (September 13, 2015) (Rosh Hashana).
A Tribulation period will begin...Matthew 24:7-8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
God the Father and Jesus Christ have a plan for the salvation of mankind. A final chance will be given. Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
The Messiah, Jesus Christ, will return and in the first resurrection will collect His own and spare them from the coming destruction...1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
A new beginning with a thousand years of peace will begin...Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
There are many signs in place including: almost instantaneous world-wide communication, development of a one-world political and economic system (preparation for the antichrist as a world ruler); preparations for rebuilding of the Jewish temple (destroyed in 70 A.D.) complete with making robes and the of breeding lambs; an apostasy (falling away from the church), even with an outpouring of the Holy Spirit; and people are scoffing at the notion of end times. 2 Peter 3:3-4 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
Although we may not know the exact time, we can tell we are in the season of His return and that the kingdom of God is near. We should heed Jesus Christ's warning. Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
This is a time to be spiritually awake. We are on the threshold of God’s Kingdom becoming the beautiful place it was intended to be. If you like to be a part of it and are interested in learning more, read the book of Revelations to learn of the end times and the new beginning. The passages quoted are also from important relevant sections of the King James Version of the Bible and can provide further information. The Olivet Prophecy (named by the Mount of Olives or Mount Olivet) about the end time is found in Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13. The day of the great judgment will happen in our lifetimes. Keep your life as a clean wedding coat awaiting the critical ceremony. Spread your spiritual light to everyone until the great shofar blows the final trumpet call. We can all strive towards becoming a part of the time when ..Isaiah 2:4 ...nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
May Peace be in Your Heart and a Smile be upon Your Lips,
Dennis Dunk

Biblical Spiritualism - Automatic writing

The following is a reference to
automatic writing and automatic drawing. This scripture mentions the hand of God which has always included His Spirit and His spirit-world. By what is written it is evident that King David was a highly developed writing medium and this has lead me to conclude that the Psalms of David were received by this form of mediumship.
1 Chronicles 28:1-21 KJV
(1) And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem. (2) Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building: (3) But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood. (4) Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel: (5) And of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel. (6) And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. (7) Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day. (8) Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever. (9) And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. (10) Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it. (11) Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof, and of the place of the mercy seat, (12) And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things: (13) Also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD. (14) He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for all instruments of all manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight, for all instruments of every kind of service: (15) Even the weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every candlestick, and for the lamps thereof: and for the candlesticks of silver by weight, both for the candlestick, and also for the lamps thereof, according to the use of every candlestick. (16) And by weight he gave gold for the tables of shewbread, for every table; and likewise silver for the tables of silver: (17) Also pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups: and for the golden basons he gave gold by weight for every bason; and likewise silver by weight for every bason of silver: (18) And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD. (19) All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern. (20) And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD. (21) And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment.

Thank God!
There's this guy who had been lost and walking in the desert for about 2 weeks. One hot day, he sees the home of a missionary.
Tired and weak, he crawls up to the house and collapses on the doorstep. The missionary finds him and nurses him back to health.
Feeling better, the man asks the missionary for directions to the nearest town. On his way out the backdoor, he sees this horse.
He goes back into the house and asks the missionary, "Could I borrow your horse and give it back when I reach the town?"
The missionary says, "Sure but there is a special thing about this horse. You have to say 'Thank God' to make it go and 'Amen' to make it stop."
Not paying much attention, the man says, "Sure, OK."
So he gets on the horse and says, "Thank God" and the horse starts walking. Then he says, "Thank God, thank God, " and the horse starts trotting.
Feeling really brave, the man says, "Thank God, thank God, thank God, thank God, thank God" and the horse just takes off.
Pretty soon he sees this cliff coming up and he's doing everything he can to make the horse stop.
"Whoa, stop, hold on!!!!"
Finally he remembers, "Amen!!"
The horse stops 4 inches from the cliff. The man leans back in the saddle and says, "Thank God!"
The Miser
There was a man who worked and worked and saved all his money. Never spending any of it, just saving it. He loved money. He was a miser and he worshipped his cash.
For years he kept telling his wife, "when I die, I want you to put my money in the casket with me; I want to have it for the afterlife."
The years passed and he kept idolizing his money and telling his wife to put the money in the casket with him. He even got a bible out and made his wife swear on the bible that she would put the money in his casket with him.
"Do you promise to put my money in the casket with me when I die?... do you PROMISE." "Yes", the wife replied, "I promise to put all your money in your casket with you."
One day the man died and at the funeral the wife sat holding a gift wrapped box. She was sitting with her closest friend and quietly crying.
Just as the funeral director got ready to close the casket the wife jumped up and said, "WAIT, I have something to put in the casket with him." Then she gently placed the box in the casket.
When she returned to her seat her friend asked, "what did you put in the casket?"
The wife answered, "he made me promise that I would put all his money in the casket with him when he died, so that he could have it in the afterlife."
The friend was astonished and said, "I KNOW you didn't do that!!"
The wife looked at her friend and said, "Well, you know I'm a Christian woman and I could not lie to him... so I did as I promised."
Her friend said, "girl, you are crazy!!" "I can't believe you put all the money in the casket with him!!"
The wife quietly dabbed the tears from her eyes and said.... I'm a Christian but not a darn fool...... I wrote him a check!!!
The Burgular
An elderly woman had just returned to her home from an evening of religious service when she was startled by an intruder.

As she caught the man in the act of robbing her home of its valuables, she yelled, "Stop! Acts 2:38!" ("Turn from your sin and be baptized")

The burglar stopped dead in his tracks. The woman calmly called the police and explained what she had done.

As the officer cuffed the man to take him in, he asked the burglar, "Why did you just stand there? All the old lady did was yell a scripture to you."

"Scripture?" replied the burglar, "She said she had an AX and two 38's!"
The Sunday school teacher was carefully explaining the story of Elijah the Prophet and the false prophets of Baal. She explained how Elijah built the altar, put wood upon it, cut the steer in pieces and laid it upon the altar.

And then Elijah commanded the people of God to fill four barrels of water and pour it over the altar. He had them do this four times.

"Now, said the teacher, "can anyone in the class tell me why the Lord would have Elijah pour water over the steer on the altar?"

A little girl in the back of the room raised her hand with great enthusiasm. "To make the gravy."
