COME HEAR THE LATEST ON VITAL DREDGING OF THE VALUABLE ST. LUCIE INLET
Most folks may not go in or out of our St. Lucie Inlet regularly, and yet boat traffic through the inlet is extremely important to everyone in terms of overall economic benefits and quality of life.

The inlet is the gateway from the Atlantic Ocean into, and out of, the storied St. Lucie estuary. The spinoffs for the general public's benefit are all but uncountable.

It's considered crucial that the inlet be dredged to a safe depth, as it must be periodically, but in these low-tide budget times there is controversy over who will pay the next digging bill.

Martin County personnel will explain the inlet background and options at the Rivers Coalition meeting at 11 a.m. April 28 at Stuart City Hall. The public is welcome at no charge and there's plenty of free parking.

Speakers Bureau Update!
On Thursday, April 21st Ted Guy spoke at the Southeast Nordic Tug Owner Association (SENTOA) annual meeting at the Hutchinson Island Marriott. Ted, an owner of a trawler who has cruised throughout Florida, the entire east coast and the “mini loop”, related well with the group. Most of the group was from other places in the southeastern US. Ted was impressed with their intelligent questions and their knowledge of the issues. Our message is certainly getting around!!!
