MELODY MEMORY BAND - GIVING YOU THE TIGHTEST MUSICAL HOLD YOU WILL EVER EXPERIENCE IN LIFE!!!

What can I say about Dallas’s own Melody Memory Band? Funtastically fantastic; a double positive. They are just great – both musically and personally.  I have not seen this type of sincere dedication in a band in many a years!!!!.

This Band gives 200 percent each time they step up on the stage. Trust me, I don't do many local shows here in Dallas, as my normal beat is Nationwide and International. However if you want to get the Queen out in Dallas, put Melody Memory band on the Roster - if I am in town I will be there. I never grow tired of watching these guys work. So much energy, their drive is infectious I just love them!!!.

Now don't get me wrong, there are other fine Bands here in Dallas. However what makes Melody Memory close to the Queens heart outside their talent? well they having some giving souls. (smile). They do not hesitate for one moment. If KNON Radio need them to do a Benefit show, they just simply ask when and where. They believe to be "whole" you must give back to the community. This always warm my heart with them, so humble.  I was excited to see them come out and do a benefit show on Friday night for KNON and EZ eddie's 50 birthday celebration as always they were in top form or as EZ eddie would say "Top shelf"!!!!

Now of course if you have not come to know this group, I suggest you run out and witness them perform live if you are in Texas, now if you are not, perhaps you may encourage your local promoters to get them there, trust me darling, they will be more than worth the money. I (yes me) guarantee you a musically good time.

REGGAE ICON EVER-G TO VISIT TORONTO AHEAD OF JULY 31ST SHOW!

Reggae recording artist and Icon EVER-G will be visiting Toronto from June 23rd to 25th to do media and a meet and greet with fans in advance of his performance on July 31st at Lula Lounge.

Building on the momentum of his incredible achievements for the first half of 2011, EVER-G’s goal is to continue to interact with his fans on a personal level, while delivering the best in Reggae entertainment.  “My fans have come to expect the best from me, and the best is what I’ll deliver; both at the meet and greet and at the performance,” said EVER-G by phone from Virginia.

In the summer of 2010, EVER-G released his 5th studio album entitled ‘Jah Love’ which has been well received by Reggae enthusiasts worldwide.  The lead song on the album, also entitled “Jah Love” helped the artist earn the honor ‘Album of the Year’ at the 2011 Virginia Reggae Music Awards.  In addition to the honor of Album of the year, EVER-G won the categories Single of the year and Favourite Artist.

On the performance circuit, EVER-G receives an increasing number of requests for his songs “Miss Beautiful” & “Life” (from the album Independence), “Mission” & “What’s Up With The World” (from the album Mission Part III) and “Pretty Lady” & “Son Of The Most High” (from the album World Peace).  One fan said:  “I had the pleasure of seeing EVER-G perform, for the first time, at the Buckroe Beach Reggae Festival.  WOW!  Your message, music, and amazing voice are in a class by itself.  It has been said that platinum is thirty times more rare than gold, and there are only a few places on earth, where it can be found.  How does it feel to be that rare find?  You are definitely one in a million!  Peace, Love, and Unity - That's what life is all about!”

RASTAMAN 'SAY A PRAYER' PRODUCED BY GLEN GRANT FOR MASS PYKE PRODUCTIONS AND MINAYA MUSIC INC.

Rastaman Say a Prayer talks and preach about leadership, Rightous, honest, overstanding,Cocious, loving and unified people.  To take a stand for a better world for all living beings, No one race, but all races, no one plant, but all plants, no one specie of animals, but all animals species.  You get the picture.

No government or establishment should treat one group better than the other because of status of life, the rich against the poorests;because of self Identity, Race, Religion, Culture, ways of portraying one owns life.

Speaks against how Kids are mislead, misguided when deciding for themselves.  As if you joined the Military, will give you this as a reward. As paying for their education, when for many cases are mostly wash up lies.

when in reality was is the reward, Deaths of young ones, family devided, childless fathers and mothers, fatherless sons and daughters, love ones without love ones.  War do not bring solutions to any problems, but create more problems without solutions.

It is a educational tune for those willing to listen and learn from the realities and lies of so called leaders, instead of lead, them mislead, corruption building destruction, most of their actions, destroy many nations.

Rastaman Say A Prayer talks unification, Justice for voiceless and unpriviledge and for the one with a voice and priviledge to speak up for those and help those to have equal rights, justice and opportunities as a human being deserve, not be earn or to be require because of one selve identity.

REGGAE SUMFEST TO RECOGNIZE BERES FOR CONTRIBUTION TO J'CAN MUSIC

"We at Reggae Sumfest are very pleased to be presenting this great reggae artiste and felt that he deserves to be recognised for his enormous contribution to the growth and development of our music. A Reggae Sumfest without Beres never truly feels complete," Gourzong added.

Hammond, who is easily one of Jamaica's most prolific singers ever and who has a massive fan base, will be making his return to the festival after a three-year hiatus.

Known for his soulful voice and eclectic lovers' rock ballads, Hammond's discography consists of at least 18 albums and six compilations.

He is expected to wow the Sumfest audience with his timeless hits, among them Step Aside, Can't Stop A Man From Trying, Standing In My Way, and She Loves Me Now, to name a few.

"Beres loves to perform at Sumfest because of the exceptional reception he gets. It's been a while since he has graced the stage at Catherine Hall, and he has made it clear that he will be delivering one of the best sets locally, come July," said Hammond's manager Mervis Walsh.

Reggae Sumfest, set for July 17-23 at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay, promises to be an explosive affair featuring top acts such as international sensations R Kelly and Nicki Minaj, as well as Jamaican stars CeCile, Tifa, Kip Rich, Protoje, Jah Cure, Half Pint, and Konshens.

JAMERICAN : : THE JAMERICAN DREAM

New artist Jamerican's music embraces both the American and Jamaican lifestyle to forge a sound that can only be described as...well, Jamerican music.  Its a complex dichotomy of danchall, reggae singjay flows mashed together with pop R&B, rap, rock and latin pop accents.  This marriage takes the listener on a biopolar journey through each countries lifestyle.  “The Jamerican Dream” is appropriately titled as he is living proof of how one can rise from humble beginnings to attain success on their own terms.

EASI B : : WHY
Easi B has released his first album on his independent Yumojah Label entitled, ‘Stories Untold’ on Itunes. The sixteen track album features four love songs, three Hip-Hop/Reggae fusion, three slow acoustic tracks and six cultural reggae tracks and features a strong contingent of some of Jamaica's top musician such as Dean Fraser, Dalton Browne (guitarist) and Danny 'Firehouse' Bassey. Backing Vocalists are the well known Limey Murray, Sherida and Fiona.  Upon blasting  ‘Why’ one of the singles taken from 1 month ago the song became ‘Smash Hit of the Week' on Metro FM in Kenya receiving six spins per day for 1 week. Easi B achieved a definitive accolade in his music career in 2002 when his single ‘Blackman’s History’ on the Potential label became a hit in the UK.  The song held the number one spot for six weeks on the Choice FM top 20 reggae chart and reached number three on the Echoes reggae chart.   http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/EasiB

ON THIS DAY IN REGGAE
1997:  The last issue of the Japanese Reggae Magazine (No.59) is published. It features articles on Sly & Robbie.
2003:  Singer Vic Taylor, Byron Lee and the Dragonaires lead singer, dies of cardiac arrest at Mercy Medical Centre in Rockville Centre, NY, at age 56.

I-CIENT-CY MAU:WORKS TO DO
I-CIENT-CY’S MOTHER ELIZA “MS SHIRLEY” TEMPLE FROM CLARENDON, AND FATHER EDMOND “PAINTER” WILLIAMS FROM ST. ELIZABETH MET WHILE LOOKING FOR WORK IN KINGSTON. FROM THE MIDST OF THIS BEAUTIFUL RELATIONSHIP CAME THREE SONS “JUNIOR DESMOND WILLIAMS” IS THE COUPLE’S SECOND SON, GIVING LIFE TO “I-CIENT-CY”, A NAME GIVEN TO HIM FROM HIS CHILDHOOD DAYS BY ELDERS, MEANING “ANCIENT ONE “. WHILE ATTENDING EXCELSIOR HIGH SCHOOL, HE READ ABOUT THE MAU MAU MOVEMENT, KENYA'S MILITANT RESISTANCE AGAINST BRITISH COLONIAL RULE THAT BEGAN IN 1946 AND ENDED IN 1961 WITH MANY MAU MAU WARRIORS LOSING THEIR LIVES. HIS CONNECTION TO THEIR PLIGHT MADE HIM REALIZE HE WOULD SOME DAY DRAW UPON THEIR STRENGTH AND INSPIRATION, PUTTING IT INTO HIS MUSIC. THUS, GIVING BIRTH TO THE NAME OF HIS BAND “I-CIENT-CY MAU AND THE MAU MAU WARRIORS”

HIS DEBUT ALBUM "WHEN WORDS COME TO LIFE" HAS A ROOTS ROCK SOUND, MIXED WITH A COMBINATION OF STRONG VOCALS OVER THE MELODY DRUM AND BASS; IT SPEAKS THE TRUE GHETTO EXPERIENCE BLENDED IN HARMONY. THE FIRST TWO SINGLES OFF THE ALBUM "WORKS TO DO"AND STRUGGLE" PACK A SOLID ONE TWO PUNCH, THAT WILL HAVE THE WORLD WANTING MORE.

SING YOUR OWN SONG
"Since you are like no other being ever created since the beginning of time, you are incomparable."
-- Brenda Ueland
