While most of us recognize that much wisdom and knowledge has been lost as we move towards modern medicine and institutional living, it’s often hard to find the resources to incorporate these ideas and practices into our lives.

Speeded up living, a fear-driven culture, and messages galore from the corporate media often leave us breathless and spun.

Our weekend provides a deep cellular call towards the folkways that were passed on between generations since time out of mind.

As we remember, we are midwifing each other back into wholeness.

Local Wisdom

Over the last seven years, The Southeast Women's Herbal Conference has become one of the most popular events of its kind in the country. Hosting over 70 classes with more than 30 teachers who represent an almost dizzying array of beauty and power with credentials from Ph.D. to m.o.m. More and more, as in the ‘Buy Local’ movement, we aim to keep their wisdom local.

A sample of the 2011 classes:

The Aromatic Boudoir • Herbal Pestos • Immune System Herbs • Essential Fatty Acids • Tea Blending • Sacred Herbal Baths • Everyday First Aid • Immune System Herbs • Deep Wound Care • Herb Walks • Cherokee Herbal Medicine • Bridging Science & Folk Tradition • Pregnancy & Birth • Conscious Dying

Very early on we realized that they needed to address the whole woman in her whole life. This weekend is as much about self-love, embodiment, empowerment, mothering, and sexuality as it is about herbs. These classes include:

Creating Ceremony • Shadow Work • Moving through Emotions • Vital Essence & Blissful Power • Earth-based Psychology • The Healthy Masculine Within & Without • Sexual Medicine • Unconditional Self-Love • Developing Intuition • Authentic Movement • The Power of the Drum • Living Takes Life: Our Predatory Nature Holds Gifts

Cost for the conference is $285.
