The River Kids have had a busy time!

A crowd of Kidz assisted the Environmental Studies Center with their OPEN HOUSE and face painted river motifs on over 50 children therefore gathering 50 new and diverse members.

The kids also voted to give away $500.00 of their lemonade earnings splitting it between the Florida Oceanographic Society and the Environmental Studies Center. These gifts were formally presented at a Rivers Coalition meeting.

A throng of Kidz walked in the Stuart Christmas Parade bringing river awareness to everybody.

And most recently the River Kidz were filmed in Sewall's Point by the Everglades Foundation's film crew. Improvising due to rain, the foundation filmed the Kidz singing their River Song, picking up trash at the Indian River's edge, and  interviewed young founders, Evie Flaugh and Naia Mader as well as Mayor of  Sewall's Point, Jacqui Thurlow-Lippisch as the film will be presented to the Florida

Legislature in 2012. The filming will be part of a multi-county presentation on the importance of water quality.
