Good things are coming together.

Check out in this newsletter what our amazing friends at Warhorse Karate are doing. Amazing!

Even though summer is just barely beginning, we are gearing up for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September. The month kicks off with the 3rd Annual Childhood Cancer Awareness Walk. Check this newsletter for more information.

We have big ideas and much to do as great teams of volunteers get ready to accomplish great things. Let us know how you might want to be involved.

Be sure to check the calendar and save the dates. As things unfold we will keep you updated.

Thanks to everyone who not only understands that kids can't fight cancer alone but comes together to ensure that they don't.

Monthy Support Lunch Where Healing Happens

With much anticipation and lots of positive energy infusing the pediatric oncology unit, massage, nourishment, art, and beautiful pictures came together to make the day a bit brighter for kids with cancer, their families, and staff alike.

Healing takes more than just medicine and much healing occurs when spirits are lifted as they are every month at the American Childhood Cancer Org Inland NW support lunch for kids, families, and staff.

Such is the power of a group of people coming together for the common goal of making life a bit easier during difficult days/times. Thank you to all who made our May Support Lunch such a success. June is shaping up to be just as wonderful.

The Brickhouse Massage and Coffee Bar provides families with a special gift every month with soothing paraffin hand waxing and stress-reducing massages. Thank you as big as the ocean and wide as the sky.

They were joined by Texas Roadhouse who donated a wonderful lunch after a successful fundraiser in April that raised $910 to support the kids. And as if giving back is just a natural occurence, they've signed on to host lunch at our Annual Summer Party on July 28. Yippee - we are so very grateful!

Thank you Sandpoint Photo for the great pictures and artist Catherine Earle for the beautiful face and head painting. Artwork that is truly inspired. They have also signed on to the annual Summer Party!

It truly does take many hands to accomplish great things.

3rd Annual Childhood Cancer Awareness Walk

August 25 will be here before you know it. Save the date, watch for more details, and

get your walking shoes ready to make a difference! We will be celebrating afterwards again this year with music, a picnic and lots of surprises.

Let's come together and put a face to kids with cancer.

Rare? Hah!

Childhood cancer is more prevalent in our own backyard than most imagine. Let's do it.

We have lots planned and will have more information at our Summer Party on July 28.

We are very pleased to announce that we will have the Blood mobile at the walk because we literally want your blood and your family, friends, and co-workers! Kids with cancer use A LOT of blood products and this seemed the perfect place to educate and encourage the community to give this most fragile of resouces.

Bring your kids, families, friends, co-workers and let's put a face to local kids with cancer and bring the community together to support them! If you would like to help with planning, please call 509-443-4162
