Many things have changed inside my studio this past month. For starters, my space was renovated & my newest paintings were hung on fresh walls! Nancy Joyce Gallery is now open as a viewing gallery space in the front 75% and the back 25% is left for working studio space. Please stop by for a visit this weekend during the River Arts District Studio Stroll.
If you receive my newsletter, you and your friends are automatically invited to a private preview drop-in event this Friday evening anytime between 6:00pm - 9:00pm. We will have wine and be closed to the public. If you cannot make Friday's event, I will be there all day on June 9th and 10th from 10:00am - 6:00pm for this weekend's River Arts District Stroll. Click here for more information on this weekend's stroll.
Along these same lines, The River Arts District and Nancy Joyce Gallery was featured in June's Southern Living Magazine. You can find this article on page 12 of the Carolina Living section or read the article now by clicking the Southern Living link above. It was such an incredible experience to work with the people at Southern Living and am fortunate to have gotten this unique opportunity regarding this story and the River Arts District.
I am continuing to paint for my Celebration of the Weed Series which will be hung in Asheville's Posana Restaurant Spring 2013. Many of these are rather large pieces as the walls in the space are magnificent and tall. One of my most recent pieces, called "Reining Wishes" can be seen here to the left. This painting was inspired by a photograph taken by my friend and photographer, Brian Cencula.
My web site has been upgraded once again due to some technical difficulties during the previous launch. I am excited about the new web layout, thanks to ZeroZenDesign, and am happy things are now all working like a well-oiled machine. Please visit the newest site if you have a moment. There are a few new paintings I have posted and, as always, I welcome any comments or feedback.
Cheers to a healthy & productive Summer!
