Important Information for You...

 

We are so glad you have chosen to join us October 12-14th! We sent a confirmation letter to your address a few weeks ago. If you did not receive a letter in your mailbox, or if you need another copy, here are the links to print:

If you use a GPS or another mapping program, use this address:

Camp Rockmont, 375 Lake Eden Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711

(don't use the office address on our website - it will take you to our office, not the conference).

 

Check-in will take place from 8:00am - 2:00pm on Friday, October 12th. We are unable to accommodate early (Thursday) arrivals unless you have made arrangements as a teacher, staff member, vendor, or volunteer.

 

If you arrive after 2:00pm on Friday, find your way to the Info Hub to check in.

 

Allow 1 1/2 hours to check-in, park, and get settled into your lodging.

 

(NOTE:  Pre-conference Intensives with Dr. Aviva Romm and ALisa Starkweather begin at 10:00am. Regular classes begin at 2:30. Welcome Jam is at 1:00)

Boathouse Bonus

A beautiful little building right on the lake, the Boathouse is the place to go if you are interested in canoeing during Sisterhood Playtime on Saturday afternoon and is the meeting place for all herb walks. This year, we are excited to add two new functions to the Boathouse:

  • The Tea Station!  If you are looking for a warm (and complimentary) beverage, you will find hot water and a variety of tea bags awaiting you at the Boathouse. Be sure to bring your own mug.
  • The first ever, SE Women’s Herbal Conference Photo & Video booth! Grab a friend, or a flower, and share your beauty with the cameras. Photographers will be there during meal times and other breaks throughout the weekend.

Info Hub

Right in the center of camp, under the giant willow tree just up from the beach, you will see a large tent, practically bursting with information. The Info Hub is the place to ask all of your conference related questions, sign up for intensives, and browse the Wise Woman Resources. While you are there, be sure to check out:

  • The Scholarship Raffle ~ All items were generously donated by local artists, herbalists, business owners, and organizations.  Raffle tickets can be purchased right there at the Info Hub, and 100% of the proceeds go into the scholarship fund. A silent drawing will be held Saturday night, so stop by Sunday to see if you are one of the lucky winners!
  • Class Recordings ~ For the first time ever, we are so pleased to offer recordings of the conference classes! Class recordings will be on sale right at the Info Hub. Now you can take some of the conference weekend home with you.
  • Wise Woman Immersion ~ Are you hungry for more? Join Corinna Wood for a week-long inspirational journey in spring 2013. Stop by the Info Hub to learn more about the program.
