Lieutenant Colonel Thomas M. Greco currently serves as the Deputy District Commander for South Florida, Jacksonville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The River Kidz have been very busy and will continue to raise awarness throughout 2013!

The River Kidz walked in the Stuart Christmas Parade, along with Florida Oceanographic Society, they attended the ORCA (Ocean Research and Conservation Assoc.) Carl Hiassen Young Readers Hour at the Sunrise Theatre in Ft. Pierce and were able to all sit in the front row of the lecture and ask Mr. Hiassen questions about his experiences. River Kidz also donated $120 towards ORCA for their big Fundraising Event.

The Winning signs have been displayed at Martin County Board of County Commission.

A huge THANK YOU goes out to Jacqui Thurlow-Lippisch!

She has started a program at Felix Williams called Felix River Kidz. Check out the Felix Williams Newsletter!

Evie Flaugh, co founder of the River Kidz wrote a paper for Martin Luther King Day for her class at Stuart Middle School. Please click here to read this great paper!

Upcoming Events!

The Kidz will be building nursery reefs (Reef Balls) with Benjamin D'Avanzo of EnviroForce, in cooperation with Martin County and Florida Oceanographic Society on Saturday, March 9th at 10am.  

Also, the River Kidz will be at Environmental Studies Center, Saturday, April 20th for Earth Day, painting faces and creating river awareness!

Stop Wasteful, Harmful Discharges to Sea. Send Excess Lake Okeechobee Water South instead of destroying our Coastal Estuaries.

We petitioners urgently ask that government agencies stop discharging unnatural flows from Lake Okeechobee into the St. Lucie River and restore the historic River of Grass southward.
