Germans Relocating To Jamaica For The Love Of The Music And Culture |
Germans love and appreciation for Jamaica’s music, culture and lifestyle cannot, and should not be questioned. Several prominent Germans have publicly announced the influence that Jamaica’s urbanity has had on them. Many have visited the island on numerous occasions while others have relocated to Jamaica permanently, giving up a less hazardous lifestyle for a more challenging one.
One such German is Reggae recording artist, Roots Queen. Though she was born and grew up in Germany, Roots Queen fell in love with Jamaica’s music many years ago as it was all she could listen to while going through a difficult time in her life. Having had an interest in music from a younger age, she decided that she would pursue a career as a Reggae recording artist after witnessing some Jamaican performers at the annual Summer Jam Festival (held in Cologne, Germany).
“Powerful Energy” (which is the name of her album) clearly defines the inner person that is Roots Queen.

Yvonne Varner - Reggae Festival eGuide Editor |
Start date 02-07-13. This week I share with you that I am the youngest of five. This photo was August of 1966 in Yosemite. My sister had to push real hard to hold down the air matt with me on her back!! San Francisco Trivia: My brother Al (far right) had a band who competed in the first San Francisco Bay Area Battle of the Bands and won, but was disqualified for not all of them being the age of 18. Sometimes they were the Delrays and sometimes they were the Raydels. They played modern rock; Stones, Troggs, Turtles.
Happy Valentine's Day!!

It will make us very sad if you do, and perhaps your removal will be the one the makes us decide this no longer worth doing at all, and all the information we provide will go away forever and musicians will sit home alone at night and cry because they have no one to play for because no one knows about their shows.
