Friends!
Spring is here, and with it, the promise of new musical adventures.
We had a terrific winter touring season. Warm thanks to all of you who braved the elements and came out to support the band. It's been thrilling to make so many new friends on the road.
The year ahead looks even more exciting. The Dmitri Matheny Group has a full slate of concert, club and festival appearances on the books, including extended residencies in the Southwest, Pacific Northwest and California Coast.
Arizona friends, please save the dates: on August 16 we're at the Chandler Center for the Arts with San Francisco vocalist Clairdee in an all-star salute to The Great American Songbook. On December 4 we're bringing our popular holiday show Soulful Sounds of the Season to Kerr Cultural Center in Scottsdale.
Our latest CD release is Grant & Matheny, an intimate chamber jazz project with longtime duo partner, pianist Darrell Grant. All 9 of our albums (over 100 songs) are available now from CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and Carpe DM.

Jazz in the Hills presents a special concert at Fountain Hills High School Auditorium featuring the all-star quartet of Dmitri Matheny (photo) flugelhorn, Armand Boatman piano, Jack Radavich bass and John Lewis drums. Join us for an evening of lively originals, familiar standards and jazz classics by Herbie Hancock in celebration of the legendary composer's 73rd birthday.
