The Museum of Motherhood operates out of the Upper East Side of Manhattan and online, with tours, exhibits, a community gathering space and ongoing classes. Below is a list of our 'September Surprises', with lots going on at M.O.M.
We believe in a more peaceful, more educated, more inspired planet. To join us on our journey we are in need vibrant, committed Advisory Board members for the museum, with specific expertise in fundraising & non-profit planning. ABC Play- Drop your child off Mondays and Wednesdays from September 16-December 18, 9:30-11:30 AM. Your child will explore and learn the alphabet with all their senses.  For 3-4 year olds. $1350 for 25 sessions.  2 spots left. 1:3 adult/child ratio. Contact: Lisa or call: 917.536.6293. Tues. 10-11:30, PowerKid Play Date- You can drop off your child and they will enjoy arts & crafts, story time, movement games, and a snack. Each week a different theme. $35 per kid/day. 2nd Thurs. evening of each month/Because I said so! Open Mic Night- Unleash your inner singer, poet, comedian or musician or just come enjoy the entertainment. Expectant Parents Meet Up-  Meet other expectant parents while learning about topics that may be on your mind. Sundays at 3PM. Reserve your spot
Introduction to Motherhood Studies Course- Mondays and Fridays –pick one day per week.. We will examine changing perceptions of mothers through history, including some feminist theory, political theory, and sociological theory. While focusing on the US point of view we will also peek at global perspectives, policies, health statistics and methods of conception. The goals of this class are to have students explore the evolution of family, gain understanding of the historic marginalization of women, and expand on notions of caregiving so we can collectively move future family experiencesforward in educated and empowered ways. All students who complete the class will receive a certificate of completion.  Open to high school students, college students and all other adults. Session A: Mondays 4-6PM /Session B: Thursdays 6-8PM (pick one session per week) $175 sign up full session or $17 per class ala carte. Student Symposium 4th Monday of every month. 7-8:30 PM. Student meet up with discussions and presentations of the subjects of mother studies, feminism, psychology, popular culture, health matters and more. $125 Unlimited Monthly Drop-In; use for baby groups, drops ins, story time, group lunches, hang out. Good for one-month from time of sign-up. This is for people who think they’d like access to M.O.M. frequently during inclement weather or families and groups looking for a safe, comfortable place to gather. Come use our play space 6 days a week if you want! Sign up online or onsite. Additional fees apply for music performances and workshops organized by outside parties,but members receive $5 off door price of M.O.M. organized events. 
RENT M.O.M - Have a party or gathering at M.O.M! Available Saturdays day or night. Private rental $100 per hour includes one helper, semi private(museum stays open) $50 per hour.
