Little Pearls
Coming Back to Life ~ March 14, 2014
Waiting, anticipating, being patient with what is, right now ~ not easy!

We hear "you can't hurry love" and "don't push the river."  We know, deep down, that we can't make Spring come any faster either, no matter how much we crave and need it.

And yet, change is happening.  From the very first bulb blooming in my yard to so many popping up now, Spring is coming.  Some good things are happening with Little Pearls and me, too.

To everything - turn, turn, turn, there is a season - turn, turn, turn, and a time to every purpose under heaven. ~ The Byrds
BIG Celebration at Blue Mountain Pizza in March!
Blue Mountain Pizza has been a steady supporter of Little Pearls for several years.  Right now, during March, they are celebrating their 10th anniversary, giving away $10,000 in prizes and donations, including a trip for two to Rome!  Details are on their 10th Anniversary Rules link.

Their celebration includes supporting four local non-profits, based on daily voting by patrons.  Little Pearls is one of those grateful non-profits.

Please come to downtown Weaverville at least once in the next couple weeks, enjoy a great meal (they have much more than pizza!) and vote for Little Pearls.

Thank you, Matt Danford & Blue Mountain Pizza ~ we love you!
Coming Back to Life & Little Pearls
Like Spring, energy, focus and creativity can't be rushed, especially in the midst of big challenges.  Grieving for my husband Jim has been like a hard winter.  Bulbs filled with beauty are still here, yet they have been buried in the ground, waiting for warmth and light to return.

This representation of grief, from Bloggers for Hope, feels true to me:

I am finally coming out of the tangle now, still a bit shaky, focusing most of my energy on clearing out the clutter in my life and home to make room for what is to come.

Recently, while tidying up the website, I fell in love with Little Pearls again, just checking the links on the Portfolio page.  SWEET!!!
Spotlight Pearls: Dog Pearls
This time of year, in 2008, the Dog Pearls series was born out of the loss of our spunky dog Katie.  A few days after Katie died, I had a vision of her that guided the eventual filming and editing for six new Dog Pearls ~ so far....

We have enough HD footage of more good dogs for several new Dog Pearls.

There are also many more Pearls-in-waiting besides Dog Pearls: Pearl Dreams.  Soon, I'll have the energy to start creating again, and I'd love your input!
More Good Links
Our newsletters have been infrequent lately, and though I won't send too many, they will be more regular soon.  If you missed the last one, with our WLOS-TV Person of the Week surprise, here it is: Glimmers & Gratitude

Our funds are pretty low after this long time of winter.  If you'd like to support Little Pearls' re-emergence, please:

Warmly, with gratitude
