The ongoing mission of the Episcopal Forum of South Carolina is “to provide educational programs in The Episcopal Church in SC".

This past May, the first such program was offered including keynote presentations by the Presiding Bishop and the President of the House of Deputies as well as presentations from members of the Diocese of Pittsburgh and our own diocese. This first program was very successful with 300+ attendees.

Not surprisingly, it takes a great deal of time and talents as well as financial support to offer high-level educational programs. While membership in the Forum is free, the Forum raises money by charging a nominal fee for its educational programs and by requesting donations. As you consider the value that EFSC brings to Episcopalians throughout the diocese, please consider making a tax deductible contribution to the Forum so that it can fulfill its mission. EFSC is a 501(c)(3). Mail Check to:

Great Programs for 2015

During the first quarter of 2015, the Episcopal Forum will provide a series of three educational conferences in support of The Episcopal Church in South Carolina. The overall theme will be: “On the Side of History.” Noted experts will provide keynote presentations and be available for questions and answers related to exploring and celebrating intersections of scripture, society, and The Episcopal Church.

Each of the conferences will feature an important constituency whose roles and acceptance in society and the Church have evolved over time: women, African Americans, and members of the LGBT community. The conferences, which will be hosted in different parishes in the diocese, are open to all interested persons. Registration is $20 per conference, which includes lunch.

For information about each conference as well as online registration, please go to the Forum’s website.
