We Love Pets, Just Like You..

The leaves are changing and falling. There air is cooler (open those windows!) and it’s a great time to spend time outdoors with your pet. A trip to the park perhaps? Maybe a trip to a local pet store? Did you know you can take your happy social dog to Lowes or Home Depot? It is a great opportunity to continue teaching your dog how to behave in public. Like many skills If they don’t use it they lose it.
There are plenty of pet friendly restaurants in Gwinnett that you can bring your dog to as well. To find these locations visit www.bringfido.com and you can search restaurants, events, attractions, lodging and more! I am a big fan of expanding my dog’s world by bringing her wherever she is welcome.
Have you heard of www.meetup.com ? This is a great place to meet groups of people who have similar interests as you. Such as people who have dogs and like to hike with them. Another great outlet to get social with your dog, Check it out!
Halloween is just around the corner. Keep your pets safe and out of the way if they don’t like the sound of the doorbell or strangers knocking on your door. Think of how nerve wracking this can be for many dogs. Keep candy up and out of the way to avoid any accidental poisoning. Use battery operated candles in place of the real thing, pets and fire don’t mix. Lastly never leave your pet unattended while they are wearing a Halloween costume. They may attempt to chew and ingest parts of it which could land you a trip to the vet.
Have a safe but fun October!

Dog Food or Junk Food?
Does it really matter what you feed your dog? Absolutely! What you put in is what you’ll get out. When you feed your dog a good quality food what you’ll get in return is a healthier pet, less visits to the vet, better dental health and more.
Many well, advertised dog foods include ingredients that are of little to no nutritional value to your dog (fillers- corn, wheat, chicken by-product meal, corn gluten meal) and may also be doing more harm than good. Read more.

Shelby is a sweet 1 1/2 year old black lab
who is one of our weekly dog walking clients.
She loves going on her walks and smelling
everything in her path. Her favorite treat
is ice cubes. She will chase the ice cube all over the house. She is such an amazing and loving girl!
