Arroyo Burro Celebration
The Creeks Division and Parks & Recreation Department, along with the Trust for Public Land, are pleased to announce that the 14.7 acre former "Veronica Meadows" development site along Arroyo Burro has been acquired by the City and will become an open space park.
 
Join us for a community celebration on Wednesday, March 16th at 11am. Enter the park at the end of Alan Road.

Join the Creek Crew!
Volunteers plant natives at Mission Creek at Oak ParkThe Creeks Division is excited to invite you to become part of the Creek Crew!
 
Each month, we'll host a volunteer event - creek clean-ups, beach clean-ups, storm drain marking, and native plantings.
 
Join us for our first event on Saturday, March 19th, 9am-1pm at Stevens Park, 258 Canon Drive.
 
We will work with the Watershed Stewards Project on a native planting in our demonstration garden and along the trail. 
 
Tools, gloves, training, and snacks will be provided! Please consider sturdy shoes, hats, and sunscreen. View the event flyer here.

Creeks Division Welcomes Erin Markey!
Creeks Restoration Planner Erin MarkeyThe Creeks Division is happy to announce that Erin Markey has been hired as the new Creeks Restoration Planner.
 
Prior to starting with us in January, Erin most recently worked as a Project Manager for South Coast Habitat Restoration.
