New Work from the "Paysage" series.
| |
2016, mixed media on canvas, 18 x 18 inches
| | | "Paysage," French for landscape is a series driven by an internal need to process the work as a portrait of thought. Mixed media materials (pencil, chalk pastel, oil pastel & acrylic) are repeatedly layered and sanded, posing what if type questions through an additive/subtractive sequence. A colorful and rich surface is exposed and unfolds when the time is right knowing that I have arrived at a stopping point.
