Please come join us for a special Restorative Yoga workshop accompanied by live Nada Yoga Music by Jagadisha. Restorative Yoga is calming and centering with longer supported holds in each posture. This nurturing style helps assist us in dropping into a sense of peace and surrender. Nada Yoga uses Raga (melody form) and Tal (rhythmic cycle) to help the mind be steady and the senses quiet. It is listening to the inner sounds, bringing us back to the source.
Jagadisha had the good fortune of spending time with the great meditation master, Swami Muktananda who started him on the path of yoga and meditation. From meeting him he was led to the great master of North Indian Classical Music Swami Nadabrahmananda ,whom he studied extensively with in the U.S and India.
Jagadisha has been carrying on his master’s tradition of Nada Yoga , the yoga of sound for more than 35 years: practicing, giving concerts, and teaching. Swamiji taught from a lineage in the oral tradition that goes back thousands of years. The songs Swamiji passed down have many influences. Many are from traditional Sanskrit texts, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, and old Hindi (influenced by Islamic music).

Barre is a fun and empowering class that will tone & strengthen your body! The warm up focuses on flexibility and alignment, followed by a series of upper body exercise using body weight/light weights. Ballet inspired moves throughout the rest of class will get your heart rate up and build musclular endurance. No dance experience necessary, safe for all ages/abilities. Plenty of modifications given!

Join us for a vinyasa donations class taught by Emily Glasson on Saturday, July 16 from 2:00-3:15pm. All donations will benefit REACHCycles, a nonprofit organization based in Richmond, VA that provides adaptive bicycles for children and veterans with disabilities who are unable to ride traditional bikes. Come out and enjoy a yoga flow practice while serving a good cause! All levels welcome.

Yin Yoga is a practice that brings balance to active bodies and calms the mind using passively held floor poses. With Yin, the connective tissues that form our joints are gently stretched and rehabilitated, increasing flexibility and nourishing the meridians, the energy pathways that flow through the body.
Appropriate for all levels of yoga experience.

Jennifer is a STOTT pilates certified instructor at Blacksburg Pilates and Fitness, ACE certified personal trainer and also certified in the Pink Ribbon Program (post-operative workout enhancing recovery). Her class will include a brief introduction to the 5 basic principles used in STOTT pilates and a mat pilates workout.
All levels are invited to attend and modifications can be provided.

Bond with your baby, reunite with your prenatal friends as well as other new mamas, and learn about healthy sleep patterns in this introductory class specifically geared to nurturing new families through the practice of yoga.
Students will learn poses for babies that help them digest, calm, and sleep. Class discussions will allow mothers (and fathers) to talk about all the real feelings that come during the
transition of becoming a parent. Candy will also offer a short lecture on healthy sleep patterns for the entire family. No previous yoga experience is required.
