Studio Closures
The studio will be closed Wednesday, December 15, 2016 through Saturday, January 7, 2016. We reopen January 9, 2017.
 
As you know we divide your tuition evenly over 10 months to keep the monthly fees down. Your tuition is the same for December…thank you.

Holiday Parade 2016

 
The Carpinteria Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. All students are encouraged to participate. Meet at the studio at 2:30 p.m. and wear previous recital costumes or Christmas-y outfit and tap shoes. Nutcracker dancers will be in Nutcracker costumes and must be at the studio by 2:00 p.m. to change into those costumes—do not wear ballet shoes for the parade. Nutcracker costumes must be turned in immediately after the parade—no eating in those costumes!

“Wullbrandt Way is the parking lot between Robitailles and Senior Frogs”
 
 
General Information:
  1. The performance will be on Wullbrandt Way. “Wullbrandt Way is the parking lot between Robitailles and Senior Frogs”
  2. Because of cold temperatures we will not use costumes for this performance, unless noted below. Please wear Christmas colors, perhaps a Christmas sweatshirt, Santa hat, or hair tinsel, something fun and warm and appropriate shoes for the dance your student is participating in. Do not bring all the dance bags to this production.
  3. You will come to Wullbrandt Way for the performance—NOT the studio. It normally takes about 2 or 3 minutes for each dance, so you can gauge the time your student will perform
  4. Any questions happily answered at any time on my cell 732-3229.
 
BRING YOUR CAMERAS AND HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME AT THE SHOW…THE STUDENTS AND I ARE VERY EXCITED FOR THEM TO PERFORM FOR YOU!!!!!

Curtis Studio of Dance Lights up the Holidays with The Nutcracker


Curtis Studio of Dance will bring Carpinteria its most joyous holiday gift with its beloved production of The Nutcracker. Many local Carpinterian dancers, including three young men from Carpinteria High School will take part in the upcoming performances of the famed holiday ballet. A wonderful ballet for the entire family, The Nutcracker is the perfect way to introduce both young and old to the power and beauty of classical dance. Nutcracker Prince:  Zachary Allen Thompson, trained actor, singer and dancer.  Herr Drosselmeyer:  Liam Burke, star of stage and screen. Cavalier: Gary Franco, star of stage and screen including The Producer’s, The Mask and Contact National Tour. Sugar Plum Fairy: Jean Michelle Sayeg, recipient of the Music Center Spotlight Award and the 2006 Lester Horton Award. Tuition is due the 15th of the month. A late fee will be charged for tuition paid after that date.
