Ace Hardware Redistribution Center Expands Suffolk Operations
Ace Hardware Corporation, the world’s largest hardware cooperative, has announced expansion plans for its Redistribution Center located at 1006 CenterPoint Drive in Suffolk.  
Originally opened in 2012 in the CenterPoint Intermodal Center, the upcoming expansion will add 138,000 SF to the existing 336,000 SF facility. 
Ace’s Suffolk-based Redistribution Center serves as the East Coast hub for receiving import merchandise through the Port of Virginia. 
Suffolk RESTAURANT WEEK - March 18-25
From Suffolk’s best-kept culinary secrets to national award winning restaurants, Suffolk Restaurant Week promises a savory blend of the city’s signature flavors. The Spring 2017 Suffolk Restaurant Week is slated for March 18-25. During this culinary encore, participating eateries offer chef-created delicacies and simple three-course, price fixed menus at the DELUXE ($10 lunch/$20 dinner), PREMIER ($15 lunch/$30 dinner) or ULTIMATE ($20 lunch/$40 dinner) levels for lunch and/or dinner. No coupons, vouchers or tickets are needed—simply order from the Suffolk Restaurant Week menu. Click the above link to see participating eateries.  
 
Sales Skills Seminar for Entrepreneurs
The Hampton Roads Procurement Assistance Center is offering a seminar geared to assist entrepreneurs with their selling skills. Marketing expert Ed Sykes of The Sykes Group will discuss secrets to selling your product or services, including:
  • understanding the difference between marketing and sales
  • develop techniques to overcome barriers
  • create a sales plan
  • understand your product from your client's perspective
  • create a follow-up sales system
