The Festival Experience....

Blues from the Top will be the first festival to premier on the NEW permanent stage at the Hideaway Park Amphitheater in downtown Winter Park June 24 & 25, 2017. After being named Colorado's best blues music festival two years in a row by the Colorado Blues Society, Blues from the Top Music Festival doesn't plan to slow down. This weekend festival has earned the reputation of showcasing some of the best Regional and National talent and hopes to expand audience with its diverse musical scope in 2017. Musical sound includes an exciting mix of Blues, Roots, American Rock, Jam, Funk and Zydeco. Plus, for those who want to treat themselves, upgrade to the NEW V.I.P Experience. Located in the new "Back Plaza" of the brand new stage, will be the V.I.P Experience Tent with food, alcohol and private bathrooms. A V.I.P. area will extend from the front of stage angled up the soft grassy knoll. 

During the day, festival-goers will enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Continental Divide, while dancing to great music, enjoying array of tasty food vendors and shopping at the creative retailers at the venue. Plus goers will experience the awe inspiring Future of The Blues side stage with some of the nation's most talented young music artists. Festival hours approximately 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. both days. Gates at 10 a.m. Once the sun goes down, the music doesn't stop. There are Night Shows featuring festival artists at Smokin' Moe's Ribhouse & Saloon in Cooper Creek Square at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23 (Category 5 Night) and Saturday, June 24. 

Make it a Staycation... Come up Thursday, June 22 by 6pm for a special FREE concert in Hideaway Park with (secret special guest TBA) to celebrate with a ribbon cutting & premier concert, the opening of the new stage. It will be a magical musical weekend after all. Come be a part of it!

Anders Osborne
Between the potency of his richly detailed songwriting, his intensely emotional, soulful vocals and his piercing, expert guitar work, New Orleans' Anders Osborne is a true musical treasure. He is among the most original and visionary musicians writing and performing today. Guitar Player calls him "the poet laureate of Louisiana's fertile roots music scene." New Orleans' Gambit Weekly recently honored Osborne as the Entertainer Of The Year.  OffBeat named him the Crescent City's Best Guitarist for the third year in a row, and the Best Songwriter for the second straight year. C.J. Chenier & the Red Hot Louisiana Band

Clayton Joseph Chenier was born September 28, 1957 - the son of the great King of Zydeco, Clifton Chenier. C.J.'s father was the first Creole musician to win a Grammy Award. C.J. spent his childhood in the tough tenement housing projects of Port Arthur, Texas. His earliest musical influences were an eclectic mix of funk, soul, jazz and Motown, and his first musical instruments were piano, tenor saxophone and flute. It wasn't until his 21st birthday, after winning a scholarship and studying music at Texas Southern University, that C.J. first performed with his famous father and the legendary Red Hot Louisiana band.

Jimmy Vivino & The Kate Moss 3

Jimmy Vivino serves as the Music Director on the TBS late night show CONAN. Vivino has been a consistent element in O'Brien's late night career, starting with the first episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien in September 1993. When not appearing weeknights on TBS, Vivino divides his time between recording sessions and live gigs throughout the country. In addition to his solo work, Vivino plays with The Prisoners of 2nd AvenueRumble & Twang with Lee RockerThe Barn Burners, The Rekooperators, and the successful Beatles tribute band The Fab Faux. Vivino has also recorded and played live with such legends as Johnnie JohnsonHubert SumlinLevon Helm and Al Kooper. Earlier in his career Jimmy got his start producing playing and arranging for such artists as Phoebe SnowLaura NyroJohn Sebastian and Donald Fagen.  Summer 2014, Jimmy headlined the King Biscuit Festival with his other band, Jimmy Vivino & the Black Italians. Continued>>

Kate Moss  has enjoyed playing guitar since her teens, but it wasn't until she met Buddy Guy at age 21 that she realized what genre commanded her focus: The Blues. Since that day, Kate's been honored to share the stage with not only Buddy on several occasions, but other top performers in the biz, like Tommy Castro, Jimmy Johnson, Eddie Shaw, Curtis Salgado, Ana Popovic, Samantha Fish, and most recently (and of note), Jimmy Hall of Wet Willie and Reese Wynans of Double Trouble (both with whom she recently recorded a live set, now on DVD and CD entitled: The Healers: Live At Knuckleheads, proceeds of which benefit Blue Star Connection).

The duo's latest creation features a who's who of perfor mers, including The Shady Horns, aka Ryan Zoidis and Eric "Benny" Bloom of Lettuce, as well as Joe Tatton of the New Mastersounds, Terrence Houston of George Porter Jr. & Runnin' Pardners, and Jason Hann of The String Cheese Incident on percussion. Titled "Black Diamond," the new release is something of a grooving musical explosion.

Dany Franchi was born in 1990 and he is widely considered one of the best Blues musicians in Italy today, whose talent has given him the opportunity to live great experiences such as the Marietta Blues Competition in Ohio (USA) where he arrived in the finals. He also won remarkable awards such as "Blues for Youth" in 2010 and the "Italian Talent in the World" in 2016 awarded by his home city.
