As I was considering the title for today's opening piece I first was thinking "Member Matters" but then I realized that there are always matters for members to consider and beyond that the board at Ozark Blues Society has ALWAYS chosen to prioritize our outreach through this newsletter by making it free to anyone who asks to receive it. So, I decided maybe a better title would be "Members Matter." While it's a very slight difference it reflects that we highly value ALL of our readers. All that considered, we are working as a board to raise the value of being a current member of Ozark Blues Society. This week we see some first fruits of our planning by way of a newly instituted partnership with Sunrise Guitars in Fayetteville. With their new Sunrise Stage concert venue they have invited us to help them get the word out by donating two pairs of tickets to their May 21st concert by The Nighthawks. Read on in the article below for more information on The Nighthawks and to find out how you can be included in the May 15th drawing for a set of tickets.
And don't forget to check out the articles and the calendar below to keep updated on all the events in NWA and beyond. And don't forget, for those who want to find a way to help wildlife, the Eureka Springs Blues Weekend benefiting Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is just over a month away!
As always you can drop me a note and let me know what you want to see in this Newsletter. So, hit me up!

You have to open your mind. I like the ability to express myself in a deep way. It's the closest music to our humanity - it's like a folk music that rises up out of a culture. Read more at: http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/s/sonnyterry211910.html
