AINSLEY'S ANGELS
Ainsley's Angels of America aims to build awareness about America's special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life especially in endurance events. Ainsley's Angels was created by the Rossiter family who wanted to see their daughter Ainsley, who had a progressive neurological disease, be able to participate like other children. Angel Athlete-Riders "Roll with the Wind" and are matched with at least two Angel Runners who have the honor of pushing or being pulled by the Angel Athlete-Riders.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported The Arc's Annual Yard Sale and thanks again to Ann Curl for coordinating this for us!  Thanks also to those who contributed to The Arc through the Community Foundation's Big Payback Day.  We are truly humbled by your trust and support!  
 THE ARC'S FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM 
 
The Arc Williamson County Local Family Support Council met in May to determine allocations for 2017-2018 and the individuals who were approved have been notified and the individuals placed on the waiting list have been notified. Applications are accepted anytime throughout the year, but if you are determined eligible and all funds have been allocated, you will be placed on a waiting list. Remember that along with the application, we need proofs of residency, citizenship and disability.  Refer to the Family Support Handbook for descriptions of acceptable forms of proofs.   CLICK HERE for the 2017-2018 application.  If you have any questions, please call Sharon Bottorff at 615-790-5815, ext 3 or e-mail at sbbarc@thearcwc.org.
 
OTHER FAMILY SUPPORT REMINDERS!
- We are now direct depositing reimbursements.  If you do not have yours in your account within 2 weeks of submitting to The Arc, please call Sharon at 615-790-5815, ext. 3.
ALL invoices for 2016-2017 were to be turned in by June 1, 2017. 
- If you are currently receiving funding, it is not automatic that you will the following year, everyone must complete a new application and submit needed proofs every year.
- Remember that being eligible and being approved are two different processes.
- Your application will not be considered by the Local Family Support Council unless all proofs are received.  
- If you reside outside of Williamson County you may call 615-532-6552 to find out which agency serves your county.
The Volunteer Advocacy Project
The Volunteer Advocacy Project trains interested individuals to advocate for families as they navigate their way through the special education process.  This year's training will take place on Monday evenings from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. central time beginning August 21st and lasting for 12 weeks at a range of locations across the state.
