Alumni Spotlight

Gigi Traore YP4' 05

"I am passionate about the livelihood of Black American citizens and young politicos (both current and future leaders).

My goal is to not leave earth without sharing every piece of knowledge gained and to have drastically improved the Black American status.

My motivation is wrapped in a personal story as mother and someone who’s been afforded so much support, love, knowledge, opportunity, encouragement, friendship and family - I want to replicate the greatness I’ve experienced in humanity.”

 L.A. Regional Training Recap

We have wrapped up our first Regional Training of the year in Los Angeles, check out highlights here.

Throughout the weekend, we met some amazing members of the 2017-2018 Fellowship class.

Special shout out to Sal Rubio, who is this month’s Featured Fellow!

When asked what the most eye-opening experience was for him at the Regional Training, Sal responded:

“I would say it was the courts matter workshop. Beforehand I really did not realize how much of a change agent judges are on a local level and through the workshop I really came to understand the power of the vote and how important it is to remain informed on the judges and change agents of our country.”
