Summer Fun!
Summer is in full swing at St. Gerard House! We are watching new friendships form and great learning take place. Here are some of the highlights.
The Grotto Summer Camp is our 8-week program focused on the integration process for Grotto students with typical peers.  At this day camp, we seek to teach academic skills that will prepare students for Pre-K4 and Kindergarten curricula and to make learning fun!
Our adult program Feed the Need Culinary participants are meeting new guest chefs and cooking delicious meals this summer! This program focuses on teaching pre-vocational, social and daily living skills in a commercialized kitchen setting. Check out more pictures here!
Connect, our social skills group, just completed the first summer session is gearing up for the next one. At Connect, we learn how our thoughts, actions and reactions can affect social situations. Classes are interactive, age appropriate and fun! Contact us if you're interested in enrolling for the second summer session
The Grotto 1 and 2 programs run year round. Summers at The Grotto bring fun opportunities to learn through outdoor activities. Our Grotto 1 kiddos learned about gardening earlier this month and our Grotto 2 soaked up the sun at their last field trip.

New Study shows diagnostic substitution can't explain exploding autism numbers
