Finland is playing Dr. Frankenstein but their victims are not on the screen. They are REAL living beings.
Foxes 5 times larger and heavier than normal.  Will this added cruelty become another chapter of the fur industry's new trend?
Fur farmers in Finland have been selectively raising foxes to be five times larger than normal so one single fox will produce 5 times the amount of fur than a normal sized animal. This comes with a cruel price tag to the victims as their grossly overweight bodies and weak legs make it extremely difficult for them to stand up or move around in their miserable cages. Also, their eyes appear to be diseased or it may be the new "normal". The Finnish government has said that they will do NOTHING to improve the quality of life of fur farmed animals, and worse: fur farmers do not even need to give them water in the winter which seems that the animals will have to survive by licking the winter ice melting in their cages. PS: fur bearing animals do not receive veterinarian care since it is less expensive to discard sick animals and let them linger in agony till their deaths.

Why should we be concerned?
Stating the obvious, the fur industry's greed has made them devoid of any compassion for the very sentient beings that enrich them. Now, some new worrisome facts popped up like fulminating blades: 1) The production of these victims for sale to the world?  2) Finland is cooperating with the Chinese fur industry, and who knows they might be already negotiating with China to export these pitiful "monsters" to their fur farmers. Would a government that accepts this type of immorality in their own country not consider selling it to other countries?  3) Arctic fur could be cheapened out, becoming affordable to a much larger range of consumers. This undoubtedly would allow the fur trade to infiltrate itself in many more levels of our society.  Let's NOT wait to find out!

WHERE IS OUR CONSCIENCE?  Finland, guided by its insatiable taste for money at any cost, continues playing Dr. Frankenstein with sentient beings. Their extreme suffering is already unacceptable by any decent human being, how can we close our eyes to yet another cruelty inflicted on animals who suffer so much already?
Won't you take a moment to speak up for them?

Dear Sir or Madam,
I was shocked to learn about the "Frankenstein" methods being used by fur farmers in Finland to produce monstrous looking foxes that are bigger and weigh 5 times more than a normal fox in the wild.  The poor animals with bent legs and often with eye infections cannot do as much as walk around their miserable cages.  It is shocking that a country which calls itself civilized can so grossly disconsider the ethics that are applied to all sentient beings on our planet.  All for greed.  You are not only selling yourself cheap at the expense of innocent animals, but you are also bringing your country down to the same level as those of savages.  Surely, a large percentage of Finns are against such immorality, and yet you are not paying attention to their call.  Instead, you are purposely inflicting pain and discomfort on innocent victims which you use to become rich.  The least you could do is to observe some ethics to treat them with a minimum of decency and compassion.

ADDITIONALLY.  You have accepted and stated that fur farmers do not even have to give water to the animals during the winter, and they must survive with snow and ice.  You ought to try that on yourself and your family to see just how "refreshing" it is.
Fur farming is highly unethical because fur animals were born to be free in the wild despite the fur trade's claims that it is OK because they are born in captivity. If you were born in captivity, you would still have human instincts and still suffer terribly.
We ask that farm animal welfare is taken seriously in Finland. In addition we demand that the criminality and flaws inside the fur industry be brought to an end.
Thank you for your attention.
Yours sincerely,
