Jason Buie has been playing electrifying guitar for over 30 years and his latest Album "Driftin' Heart" is climbing the blues charts across North America.
Vancouver Island based guitarist, singer-songwriter Jason Buie has been performing around Canada, USA, Europe, and Japan for the last 20 years. Along the way he has played and opened for blues legends Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, Mick Taylor, Jeff Healey, John Mayall, Robert Cray, The Powder Blues Band, Trooper, Jerry Doucette and others.
Jasons music is a well-seasoned gumbo of blues, funk, rock and soul. His heart felt vocals, fiery guitar and charismatic stage presence captures the attention of critics and blues fans everywhere. His profile continues to grow since the debut release of his critically acclaimed 2002 Urban Blues and the 2009 "Live at The Blue Gator" cds. Both still get regular play on blues radio programs. In 2017 he is proud to release his third cd Driftin Heart consisting of 11 blues rockers of which 7 are originals.
Jason's passion for the Blues has led him to other projects too. He is a Co-Founder and Artistic Director for The White Rock Blues Society. And he promotes and produces many blues shows on Vancouver Island and in the Vancouver area.
|Sgt Pepper 50 year later; Live in Concert; 20170602 The Analogues|
I had this link sent to me from a good friend in Montreal.
A live performance of the Dutch group "the Analogues" of the complete Sgt Pepper album; They tried to make the sound identical to the album (only the vocals of course not); they traveled the world to find the same instruments as the Fab4 used for the album; The result is in my opinion fantastic.
I think you might also enjoy this documentary of the lads in the studio.
Beatles in the studio COMPLETE and very RARE
If you are looking for a record store and a whole lot more, close to home, check it out.
I dropped in last week and met Will who was stocking the shelves. I picked up a four CD set of the seventies amazing band Little Feat with front man Lowell George. I also checked out the new and used vinyl collection. It's quite a quality collection. Agust is the new owner. I haven't met him yet put I am looking forward to soon. Music lovers will appreciate the place. Drop in and see for yourself.
