It's time to start spring cleaning!
 
Clean out those garages and attics and join our first community-wide yard sale.
 
Email us today at info@ilovehawcreek.com to add your address to the list of participants. Happy selling!
 
Currently we are thinking 8 am to 2 pm. If you would like different hours, please let us know and we are open to suggestions. We will be advertising in the Citizen Times, IWANNA, Facebook, Nextdoor, and flyers posted around town.

PROPOSED REDUCTION TO BUS SERVICE IN HAW CREEK

The City of Asheville recently released their Draft Routing Recommendations for city bus service as part of their Transit Master Plan. These recommendations include reducing the bus service in Haw Creek to only four trips per weekday during peak hours.
 
If these recommendations are approved, the only bus service to Haw Creek would be one westbound trip and one eastbound trip in both the morning and afternoon. There would be no weekend bus service in Haw Creek. To learn more about the proposed changes, please visit the City of Asheville’s website on the Transit Master Plan.  READ ON...
HAW CREEK COMMUNITY GARDEN
Haw Creek Commons Garden workdays are every Tuesday and Thursday morning to garden between 10:00am-11:30am (winter hours that will change when it warms.)
 
We will begin the week of March 16th and continue through till next winter.

HAPPENINGS
AT HAW CREEK ELEMENTARY

It’s been a busy winter at Haw Creek Elementary School.
We just concluded a school wide penny drive to raise money towards getting new swings on our playground. Lots of students raided their piggybanks to contribute to this worthwhile cause. We still have a little more fundraising to do but we hope to get the swings in the ground this spring! READ ON...
