|UPDATE ON BELL-BEVERLY SIDEWALK PROJECT|
As part of the City of Asheville’s $74 million suite of Parks, Housing, and
Transportation projects, the New Haw Creek sidewalk is intended to enhance the City’s sidewalk network. The project is slated to add sidewalk on New Haw Creek Rd., from Beverly Road to Bell Road, a total length of approximately 0.8 miles. Notable user bases in this area include Haw Creek Elementary School and Evergreen Community Charter School, as well as the neighborhood’s homes and stores.
The sidewalk area is currently being surveyed by the City’s consultant. Project design will follow surveying, and will occur in conjunction with future public engagement opportunities to solicit area resident consultation. Construction is anticipated to begin in Spring of 2019.
Questions or concerns can be directed to the City’s project manager, Vinnie Sullivan, at 828 259‐5651 or email@example.com.
