Blues News You Can Use!
A Two Way Street

For a few of our readers the topic has been discussed personally, but for many (artists and fans,) you may be wondering who makes the choices when it comes to the content of this newsletter and beyond. As the editor of this newsletter, I am perhaps the point of contact for our readers, but please be assured this newsletter is based not on MY preferences, but relies on a format decided by our board of directors. In fact, one of the topics at our May board meeting will be revisiting our policies for promotional information including this newsletter, our Facebook, and beyond. One thing we wish to do is strengthen our support of those who are MEMBERS and/or SPONSORS of OBS. We will of course continue to provide a broad community calendar of local music we believe to be of interest to our readers, but beyond that, we will be discussing and formulating guidelines for promotion of events on our newsletter, website, and social media. First and foremost, this topic will reflect the "membership has its privileges" concept as we desire to feature and show support for member artists and sponsoring venues and organizations. If you have ideas to share, but cannot attend the upcoming board meeting, please feel free to email myself (SANDY) or our board president (LIZ LOTTMANN) We LOVE our members and want to see your ideas included. Please feel free to share!
The ongoing Cabin Fever series of fundraisers will hold it's second event this Sunday in Little Rock. Additionally, a third event has been added in Hot Springs in June. Read on below for more details. Please consider supporting these fundraising events in support of   Nightflying Magazine.
