Supplement Highlight
Theracurmin by Integrative Therapeutics is a super absorbable formulation of curcumin - in fact - 27 times more bioavailable than most curcumin extracts!
Curcumin facilitates the work of antioxidants, optimizes cardiovascular, kidney, liver and lung function, and supports our immune system. Thousands of research studies have been done on curcumin and have demonstrated improved skin moisture and appearance (such as diminished wrinkles); increased exercise endurance and heart function; markedly improved liver function markers; and significantly increased muscle recovery following endurance exercise. Emerging research currently underway is showing promising effects on cognitive function in patients with memory issues.
This supplement and others are carried in our office. We donate 5% of proceeds from the sale of our research-backed supplements to In the Pink a boutique for women suffering from breast cancer.

What's the Big Deal About CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD), derived from Cannabis sativa, has drawn a lot of interest as of late for the treatment of a wide range of maladies, including pain, anxiety, PTSD, seizures, arthritis, inflammation, multiple sclerosis, nausea, and even cancer. CBD does not have any tetrahydrocannabinol or THC that produces psychoactive effects or a "high". CBD started gaining more attention when parents of children with uncontrolled seizures found significant improvement/decrease in seizures with CBD (i.e., Charlotte's Web).  Mounting research supports the effectiveness and tolerability of CBD up to high doses of 1500 mg/day (orally) without any negative side effects. CBD has a recommended range of dosing for maximal effectiveness depending upon the disorder being treated.
CBD not only comes in oil, but also other forms such as chewables, fruit roll-ups, coffee, tea, topical pain creams, and capsule forms. The exciting thing is it is a holistic/natural way to treat medical issues and may augment a patient's current medication regimen, such that dosages of the medications may be able to be decreased/lowered or eliminated.

Aromatic Terpene oils are derived from cannabinoids and from the resin of the cannabis plant. Terpenes are THC free as well. The terpenes work synergistically with the CBD and provide certain therapeutic effects. For example this one shown in the picture (Sour Diesel) is taken for pain, headaches, stress and depression.
We now offer CBD products of the highest quality in our office in hopes of offering patients a holistic option for various medical concerns.
