Our Ambulance Simulator is Nominated for a SOPHi Award

I’m proud to report that the Walter L. Reisner Memorial Ambulance Simulator here at our new Training Center has been nominated for a Spotlight on Public Health (SOPHi) award by the Population Health Collaborative of Western New York. The simulator project honors the life and legacy of our good friend Walt, the late Trans Am founder, by creating a fully equipped ambulance for all our EMS providers to train in a simulated environment. It has received a lot of attention lately in the community and local media.
The simulator was nominated earlier this week alongside others that have a strong impact on WNY population health, use outside-the-box thinking to solve problems, and engage a variety of people. Thanks again to everyone who gave so willingly of themselves to make this possible. The awards expo will be Friday, Oct. 5 in Buffalo.
