Symbol of the Sun, the Lioness is represents the hunter, life lessons involving living in groups and working cooperatively, respecting the position of others in the group, learning to let go of anger and jealousy, avoiding confrontation and fighting only when necessary, good parenting skills, caring for the young with patience and gentleness, the women doing all the work while the men lay around looking majestic.

Join our community in a sacred celebration of Spirit. Learn the basic core techniques of shamanism as you journey to meet your Spirit Guides and Power Animals. Deepen your shamanic practice through drumming, chanting, and movement.
Please bring water, a drum or rattle (you may borrow one), pen & notepad, and bandanna.

 The NYSC core group was formed in 1997. Collectively and individually the group has worked with shamans from around the world. Committed to supporting an active shamanic community in NYC, we endorse honoring one's own direct connection to Spirit. We honor the earth and living in ways that support indigenous wisdom, fostering environmental and social balance. We welcome all people who are interested in the exploration of shamanism as a healing and spiritual practice.
