|We Love Pets, Just Like You..|
Happy October Everyone! Well we've missed a few editions of our newsletter because we have been experiencing crazy growth. We appreciate all the referrals and recommendations we have been receiving from our wonderful clients! This is a good thing but it comes with challenges as well. So we continue to be in need of quality people to add to our team. WE ARE HIRING! So if you or someone you know would love to earn income doing something you love (while getting loved back, and probably some snuggles and wet kisses), please visit our CAREER OPPORTUNITIES PAGE and fill out the online form to start the process.
October is one of my favorite months because Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! Over the years I've had much fun dressing up Cole and friends for the holiday. Here are just a few...
They've all been good sports about it (treats were involved of course!).
Also, as the temperatures begin to cool, walking the dog becomes so enjoyable. It's my zen time. Cole and I enjoy daily walks, alone or with friends (four legged friends). I love the quiet contemplation in nature. Taking it all in.
I encourage you to get out there and enjoy this beautiful weather with your furry family members!
Professionally, Good Dog! Coaching & Pet Care continues to flourish and grow due in large part to kind referrals from clients, our veterinary and groomer friends and the professional care and love our pet sitters share every day (365 days a year) with the pets in their care. We have added several new pet care givers to our team so please visit our Pet Sitter Bios page to get to know them!

GOOD DOG! SPOTLIGHT- PET OF THE MONTH
This handsome young man is in need of his fur-ever home!
He’s approximately 1 year old, Sweet little (40lbs) boy pittie mix. Super smart and motivated to learn and interact with you. He is doing fantastic at learning sit, down, come, place, out, leash walking. His adoption fee is $200 which covers his being fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, Heart Worm testing etc. He is ready to go to a great family that will continue his training so he can blossom into a great dog. Probably best in a home without small children as he is just so energetic. He’s sweet and friendly with other dogs although slow introductions are recommended as he is just so happy and exuberant which may be viewed as rude by older dogs. Dog Training Follow Through-The Importance of Consistency
Consistency, one of the most important aspects of dog training.
When consulting with a prospective training client, I am often asked “How much training will my dog need?”. My answer, “That depends on many variables. Your dog of course, but mostly on your consistency and follow through in applying the techniques you will be learning.”.
Dog training follow through isn’t rocket science, it’s knowing the dog, applying techniques repetitively and being consistent in following through to make sure the dog does as asked 100% of the time. You can speed up the training process for certain tasks by using marker training. READ MORE...

One-Pot Baked Pasta with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe
by Bon Appetit
You're going to love this recipe!
Baked pasta doesn't need to take every pot in your kitchen or lots of different steps. This weeknight-friendly version uses one skillet, one pot, and plenty of cheese!
Why Hire a Professional Pet Sitter vs a Neighbor or Friend?
|HERE COME THE HOLIDAYS! You've made plans to travel but who will care for your loved ones? I mean, the furry loved ones???|
Here is a true story about a family who left their dog in a care of a close family friend during the holidays. Like many other individuals out there, they’ve had friends care for their house and pets before without problems. Their dog would be allowed to stay in the comfort of his own home and even though they didn’t have to pay for it they made sure to give their friend a nice gift for being there and for helping out.
