This year’s Peter Tosh Music Festival 2018 kicks off on Wednesday, October 17 with a meet-and-greet session entitled "Pepperseed: A Tribute to Peter Tosh" at the Tosh Museum at Pulse HQ in Kingston.
 
On Thursday, October 18, the official start of the festival is the Peter Tosh Awards Presentation and Reception at Pulse Investment Ltd, 38a Trafalgar Road in Kingston.

News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Oct. 5, 2018: A Caribbean-born reggae artist has used his music video to propose to his girlfriend.
 
In a special engagement video, Jamaican reggae crooner, Romain Virgo, shares a special moment during a photoshoot with his long-time girlfriend Elizabeth, that ended up being a surprise engagement.
 
The five-minute video is shown over track four off his “LoveSick” album, which came out earlier this year. The song, “In this Together,” produced by Donovan Germain of Penthouse Records for VP Records, is the perfect love song to encapsulate this beautiful moment in his life. Congrats Romain!

1931: Thomas Alva Edison, the inventor who brought us the phonograph ("gramophone"), dies in West Orange, New Jersey, at 84.

1968: John Lennon and Yoko Ono are arrested for possession of 219 grains of cannabis resin during a raid on Ringo Starr's London apartment where the two are staying. They are charged but released on bail.

1969: Paul Kantner is charged with possession of cannabis in Hawaii.
1974: Japanese DJ NG HEAD is born.

1976: Oswald Williams aka Count Ossie passes away (dies in a road crash). (b. c. 1928)
