Piet Oudolf Movie - Thank you!
Reems Creek Nursery was so delighted with our gardening community’s response to our hosting of the Piet Oudolf movie FIVE SEASONS: The Gardens of Piet Oudolf. Both screenings were sold out with more people wishing to attend. Total attendance including staff was about 220 people. Wow! WNC and surrounding areas – you are an amazing gardening group! We had folks who came from as far as Charleston, SC and other South Carolina towns. We had folks from Tennessee, Georgia, the NC triangle and Winston Salem. Our thanks go out to each and every one of you – near and far!
All of us left the screening feeling very inspired! Special thanks go out to our brilliant discussion leaders – Amy Fahmy, Peter Gentling, Kathrine Carter Jost, Matt Timmer, and Joel Cole – and to the delightful Chris Davenport as our MC. Thanks as well to all our hard working staff members - every one had a part in making the movie happen.
We are already scheming what movie might be next!

FROM WILMA:
Last Friday Bill and I drove over to Burnsville to visit The Barkin’ Basement, Yancey County Humane Society’s thrift store – great finds there and a good cause! On the spur of the moment we decided to take the “long way home” on Hwy. 19-W into Erwin, Tennessee.
The day was foggy and rainy but it was a gorgeous drive along the Cane River where there was lots of fall color on the surrounding mountainsides.

Jon and the FCPOA will get them to the families who need them. They will have a labeled box for donations at the brewery through this Friday, Nov. 2.
