Music at Asbury Fundraiser A Big Success!
Saturday night saw Weyand Hall transformed into a Parisian salon for the first ever Music at Asbury benefit evening. 52 guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, an Italian dinner, dessert, and an informative and fun presentation on the opera La Boheme by master teacher Joan Mallory.  Pastor Jason was a debonair Giacomo Puccini, Franz Baumann a convincing Arturo Toscanini, and Asbury Summer Theatre’s Michael Quigley was a frustrated philanderer juggling wife Janet  Arbucci with fiancée Mary Thombs!

After all expenses, the event raised $2,000 for the Music at Asbury concert series, helping us to make quality music available free of charge to everyone!

In addition to the Music at Asbury committee, extra special thanks go to our own master chef, Joe Sapienza; kitchen and decorating helpers Pat Stanton, Maria He, Sue Horan, Gerry Mackey, Amos Buman; and wait staff Hannah Baumann, Julian He, and Evan Robinson. And of course, we couldn’t have done it without the help and advice of the invaluable Carolyn Mucciolo!

Music at Asbury Committee:
Mary Thombs, chair; Lindsay Baker, Mauro Contrastano, Barbara Gibson, Lu Gmoser, Earl Groner, Ruth Mackey, Joan Mallory, Diane Kamble Siegel.
2019 Pledges of Financial Support: An Update
As a Season of Thanksgiving draws to a close, members of Asbury Church are expressing their gratitude to God by making promises to support our ministry financially in 2019.

To date, 32 individuals and families have made pledges of support. Of these, seven pledges have been made by persons who did not do so in 2018 and six have decided to increase their giving.

If you would like to make a promise of financial support, 2019 Pledge Cards are available at the church. You may also contact the church office directly by phone or email with your name and the amount you intend to give.

A Record Breaking Pie Auction for Feeding Westchester
On Sunday November 18, Asbury Church held a record breaking pie auction to benefit Feeding Westchester. Together we raised over $1100, all of which will be donated to Feeding Westchester, to combat hunger in our community.

You may also make a donation to Feeding Westchester today by placing a gift in the special mission offering envelope included in your bulletin.

Sign Up Now to Serve on a Coffee Hour Team
Do you look forward to the time of fellowship and refreshments we share together after worship every Sunday?

Would you like to pay that experience forward by serving on a Coffee Hour team in 2019?

Coffee Hour teams make the coffee, bring the snacks, and do the behind the scenes work that make our weekly time of fellowship possible. Each team serves 8-10 Sundays per year.

If you'd like to serve in this way, please speak to Robert Hamers or contact the church office.

Light the Advent Wreath at Asbury
Would you like to light the Advent Wreath during worship in December?

If you and your family (or your best friend, or the person who sits on the pew behind you) would like to take part in this tradition, please let Jason know.
