Happy January!
Happy New Year Everyone!
New year, new resolve to embrace whatever life serves up. Because life is short and every year is a blessing, every day is a blessing, every moment is a blessing. Live, love, forgive and be less easily bothered. Tomorrow is not promised!
I know this full well as the past year and a half have been a rollercoaster ride of emotions. As many of you know my son Marshall has been battling cancer. At the current moment he is taking a medication that will hopefully stop the growth of his cancer. He has been through, many chemo treatments, several surgeries, radiation, immunotherapy and more in the hopes of eradicating the cancer from his body. So far to no avail and the cancer continues to grow. Hopefully this new medication will work. If it does, he may be on it indefinitely or at least until they come up with a treatment that can cure him. You see, he has a type (or genetic translocation as they call it) of cancer that has never been seen before. Go figure.
I fancy myself a positive thinker. I work to keep my thoughts on the bright side. Whether in my personal or professional life. Through meditation, affirmations, reading positive and motivating books, surrounding myself with like minded people and even in my choice of movies I choose things that make me happy.
Of course, since I am human my thoughts often drift toward my son and his condition. But other than pray and stay positive, logically I know there is nothing else I can do. So, I want to live every day as happy as possible and hopefully share that with my son and others in my life. I'm working real hard at it, some days its easier than others!
What's your new year's resolution? I'd love to hear from you, support and lift you up in whatever you resolve to do this year and every year.
Thank you again for your continued patronage. We wish you a beautiful holiday season filled with friends, family and happy pets and we are looking forward to serving you in this new year!

What are your plans for 2019? Post on our FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM pages to share your thoughts, #RESOLVE  I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Good Dog! Spotlight: Pet of the Month

 Meet Kona!
This is Kona! A sweet little Teacup Chihuahua. She is the only girl of a pack of three tiny dogs, and she has the most sass! She loves treats (as you can see) and she is a total Daddy's Girl!
The Chihuahua is a saucy little hot tamale! They're renowned for being the world's smallest dog, but they may well have the world's biggest personality stashed inside that tiny body. Fun loving and busy, Chihuahuas like nothing better than to be close to their people. It's not unusual for Chihuahuas to form a close bond with a single person, and they can become very demanding if they're overindulged. Besides being affectionate housemates, Chihuahuas are intelligent and fast learners!
Dog Training How To, Patience, Persistence and the Right Tools
In dog training as in many things you have to have the right attitude and the right tools (whether they be actual tools or techniques) in order to get the job done.
Ask 10 dog trainers how to teach a dog any one specific command or behavior and your likely to get 10 different answers.
That’s because dogs, just like people are each unique in how the learn and perceive the world. Some are more outgoing, assertive or confident while others may be shy, introvert even nervous or cautious. Many may be a blend of both confidence and cautiousness.

Repticon Atlanta
January 12 10am-5pm - January 13 10am-4pm

In January 2007, thousands of guests came out to the Atlanta Reptile and Exotic Animal Show to continue a six-year tradition at a great new location at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. The success of that show and the following summer show in July at the same location re-established this show in Gwinnett County. Repticon returned in 2009 to the newer, nicer, and larger Fairgrounds facility that has proven popular with vendors and guests! This growing show continues to delight thousands of guests in one the nation’s largest metro areas, so if you call the Atlanta area home, head out for the biggest and most exciting reptile show in Georgia!

Repticon Atlanta is a platform to bring thousands of reptiles and exotic pets from the top breeders and educators to cities throughout the country.

Why Hire a Professional Pet Sitter vs a Neighbor or Friend?
HERE COME THE HOLIDAYS! You've made plans to travel but who will care for your loved ones? I mean, the furry loved ones???
Here is a true story about a family who left their dog in a care of a close family friend during the holidays. Like many other individuals out there, they’ve had friends care for their house and pets before without problems. Their dog would be allowed to stay in the comfort of his own home and even though they didn’t have to pay for it they made sure to give their friend a nice gift for being there and for helping out. READ MORE...
